I wanted to give everyone my thoughts on the car after owning it for about 24 hours. Just to give you all a little background on me. I've had quite a few electric cars, all Teslas, and previously a 911 C4S. Ok, so with that out the way here are my pros and cons so far:

One more tidbit, this car was previously a demo unit at my local dealership.

Pros:
1. I love love love the front view.
2. I love the screen behind the steering wheel. Everything is clear and well laid out.
3. CarPlay is nice and takes up most of the center screen.
4. No rattles! Yay!
5. The acceleration is bananas (but we all knew that)
6. The sound system is pretty good (I have the Bose one)
7. The build quality is top notch
8. The range is great. When I put the car in Range mode during the delivery the car went from an estimated rate of range of 298 to 305. That's Tesla territory without the panel gaps.
9. The delivery experience was awesome. Everyone was nice, enthusiastic and very willing to answer any questions I had. Shout out to product specialists Chase and Elvis.
10. The seats are really comfortable
11. I love the upgraded USB C ports in the armrest and the back seats.
12. The touch-less frunk and trunk opening is a nice touch.
13. The seat belts are not twisted! Finally!! If you've been in a 911 you know what I'm talking about here.
14. "Hey Porsche" assistant is pretty cool.
15. Being able to move the head rest forward without moving the seat is awesome
16. My kids love the back seats

Cons:
1. I'm not a fan of any of the user interfaces outside of the main one behind the wheel. That one is gorgeous.
2. It drives a bit bigger than I expected but I'm coming from a 911. It feels much more heavy and loooonnng. The perfect size for me would be one that is a tiny bit bigger than the Model 3 (ok this is a nitpick).
3. Not a fan of the back of the car. It looks like the rear diffuser (I think that's what it's called) was an after thought by the design team. It doesn't fit the other clean lines on the car.
4. Apple Music integration seems a bit wonky. It takes a bit longer than everything else to pop up as a media source.
5. The process to exit the car is a bit inefficient. In order to activate the comfort entry (exit - sit moves back, steering wheel moves out of the way) you have to hold the power button down a few seconds to turn the car off. I would have liked if it behaved like a Tesla in this case. When you open the door after putting the car in Park, the comfort "exit" is activated. Also you have to press the door handle to lock the car instead of it locking when the key is far enough away.
6. From a UX perspective it's still a bit confusing going from lightly touching the center console screen then having to press pretty hard to activate any buttons on the screen closest to the cup holders.
7. The rear, front, side, basically all the cameras on the car are crap! The image is so contorted that I can't tell what is what when the video feed is activated. Tesla wins on this one.
8. I really wish the recuperation button on the steering wheel was another shortcut button. I don't understand why I'd need to change the recuperation setting so much that it warrants a button the steering wheel. But I do like to skip forward and back on songs. Currently I have to choose 1 or the other.

Nitpick: The dealership was unable to get the ownership of the car ported over to me at delivery, so I had to use the dealership's Porsche Connect account initially. That was resolved today. The Porsche Connect customer service team was awesome and very helpful. It did take a few hours of back and forth with them to get everything set up correctly but they held my hand the entire way through. This is very different than most of my experiences with Tesla Customer Service (if you can even get in contact with a human there).

Is that Barrington/Motor Werks? If so, I think I test drove your Turbo before I ordered. :)

Is it literally a few seconds? You don’t have to just turn the car off? I also wish it worked more like a Tesla, I mentioned this in another thread a while back. Maybe it’s something that can be added in a software update, but I’m not holding my breath.

Yep, you have to hold the power button for 3 seconds, then the car will turn off and activate comfort exit

Yikes. That’s silly. Do you have to hold the power button down for 3 seconds just to turn off the car?

Yes I think so..
Thanks. I hope you’re wrong though. Otherwise it would be very easy to leave the car on. Presumably it will turn off the car when you lock it, but I often don’t lock my car, such as when I park it in the garage. This is sounding like my BMW, which requires you to hit the power button twice to turn off the radio, etc. They seem to assume that people always lock their cars.

I found this in the good to know app:

Leaving and locking the vehicle
When you leave the vehicle and take the vehicle key with you, the vehicle is locked automatically and switches off completely. If the Power button is pressed for longer than 3 seconds, the vehicle is switched off manually.

So it’s a little better than you thought. But I agree that the comfort access stuff should engage when you open the door. And it does require you to take the key with you if you want the car to turn itself off. It would be nice if a quick press of the button did that. I often just leave the key in the car when I park it in the garage. I guess I will have to get out of that habit.

I don't want the "automatic does stuff when you walk away" stuff, I'm conditioned from my current Porsche to touch things. And yes, you have to press the button for 3 seconds to turn it off. It was the one thing I walked away from my test drive going "WTF?!?". Why in the world would they change how the start button works. :/

I'm guessing user testing revealed too many people couldn't tell if the car was on or off, so they didn't want just pressing the button to turn it off to keep confusion down when someone presses the button a second time trying to start the car.

There are ways they could have easily handled the confusion, without making you press the button for 3 seconds. Why wouldn't you want it to turn off if you hit the button quickly? You accidentally hit it when you want it to stay on? Come on. And if you walk away from the car when it's on, and the keys are in it, it could honk at you or something. And you don't really have to worry about the car actually being off when you try to drive it, it will be pretty obvious that it's off when it doesn't do anything when you hit the accelerator. So then you turn it on.

The Tesla model seems ideal to me. If you're sitting in the driver's seat and put it in gear, it turns the car on. If you open the door and leave the car, it turns it off.

The Taycan does this. You can get in and put it in gear and it'll turn on and go. The start button isn't strictly needed for anything, but I'd prefer it to work like the start button on ever other car if it's going to be there.

Anyone know if you can reboot the infotainment etc without turning the car off?

You're correct about it being like Tesla when getting in and driving off. The difference is when you're leaving. You have two options.
1. Park the car, get out and lock the door. The car will turn off but the comfort exit will not activate.
2. Park the car, hold the power button for 3 seconds, get out and lock the car. The comfort access will activate.
