It wouldn’t look like a Pan (Panamera front ends mirror the 911) but in any case, you probably shouldn’t buy the new one. If Porsche can get their act together on my first delivery, I am certainly open to buying one of these.
I thought the Panamera front was intended to mirror the Cayenne? ;)

I meant in terms of the light fully taking up the space allocated to it, as opposed to the black plastic that now takes up the space in between the lights and the hood (which I happen to like).

Appreciate the clarification but yeah…you probably shouldn’t buy one 🙂

Anyone know when this gen will ship? I've got an order placed since June, scheduled for delivery April 2023 (which I do not believe will happen for one moment intuit time scale), but, I don't really want to end up with a company lease car over a three year term being the last of what will 'soon' be the 'old' shape model. Any thoughts on release dates for Gen 2?

It almost looks to me like the sport turismo has a metal roof... I wish they didn't make the mules black so I could tell. Metal roof on the wagon is the feature I'm waiting for.

Agree the old headlights look a bit better than this current revision but at least they aren't fried eggs :CWL:

Those headlights are the ones utilized for the new electric Macan.

Porsche has more important things to worry about then a redesign or a refresh. This is premature. The Taycan is one of the best modern car designs out let alone EV wise. They need to work diligently on that UI/UX of that Porsche system integration.

waste of time.

A lot
These pics reminds me of the pre-2019 era where we were excited about new mule pics of the Taycan (then still called Mission E).
I even enabled a search option with daily notification on Google for every new released pic of the Mission E mules....

The first facelift Taycan prototypes have just been spied, showing there are some changes coming to the front and rear designs. All of them were spotted with redesigned headlights, covered-up front bumper hiding a new design , and the two sedans also have some camouflage on the rear bumper. It also appears that the rear lights have gotten some tweaks.

Might let my GTS ST slot slide a while longer for MY24.

Front headlights if covered as per other models does it for me.

Not a fan of that tbh. I love the light design and I think that that change removes a great feature. Hopefully these are just miles and won’t be too close to the new design.
I agree!
The current headlight design is so iconic. This new design looks like a step backwards IMO. I also hope this is just some design exploration. The bumper design is also not great IMO.

I’m sure the updated design will be just fine. The obfuscated headlights and bumper are doing a good job in making sure demand for current cars remains steady. Last thing Porsche wants is for a leaked design to take away from existing demand. They’re well aware people will be snapping pics of their pre production prototypes.
