Follow that link and click the "what this fits" tab and expand it. It seems these guys think it's compatible with a 2021 Turbo S.

It might be worth a call to these folks in Atlanta to see if they can sell you the battery - hell they might even be able to do the replacement for less than the one you're working with.

It might be worth a road trip to Atlanta, lol

Just called them - they quoted me $37,982.23 with the part number 9J1-915-100-bg the only difference is my dealer used EU as the last 2 letters which is the exchange that apprently they can't get anyway which was $49,087.72
My goodness, this is exhausting
You are doing great though.....
Plenty of interest and support on here (most posts over 7 days - more than double 2nd place).

https://www.sunsetporscheparts.com/oem-parts/porsche-battery-9j1915099ah also claims to be compatible with a 2021 Turbo S, and if you order in the next 10 minutes, they're having a massive sale with a whopping $14.58 discount.

Same story with https://www.getporschesilverspringparts.com/oem-parts/porsche-battery-9j1915099ah and https://www.oemluxuryparts.com/oem-parts/porsche-battery-9j1915099ah.

They all seem to be using the same whiteboxed website, so I'm not sure if we're seeing multiple batteries for sale or the same single battery being offered by various sellers. One of the other ones that popped up in my search did say that it was already sold, so perhaps that is a small data point in favor of "there are multiple batteries available".

The rest of the listings I see look to largely be in Europe.

This story is eerily similar.
Indeed. Interesting video. I saw in the comments that someone mentioned yet another case. This is a major problem for all EVs built this way. They simply have to figure out how to repair those batteries/casings cost effectively or it might be game over.

Despite the ridiculously high price being quoted, the main issue that we should all be concerned about is how the service center essentially forcing OP to replace a working HV battery with 0 error codes. It is almost as if a service center insists on replacing a fully functional engine just because they found a small scratch on the exterior of the engine.

Doesn't the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act (US only) protect consumers by forcing service centers to prove that this damage affects the car? Canada does not have an equivalent Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, so I don't expect the same situation to happen here in the US. I don't think a numerical limit of damage depth from Porsche is enough for them to prove causation. Again, the car's own sophisticated systems have not displayed any error codes.

Unfortunately, the issue with physical damage to battery casings will affect our insurance rates as EV owners in the US (perhaps globally) if there continue to be high costs for HV battery replacements, especially if Porsche does not have any policy in place for similar cases.

There was a similar case in Finland as well. That’s why the IF insurance refused to insure Taycans and E-Trong GTs. But now they do../. If you first buy a car from a dealer.

I talked about that with the Porsche Espoo earlier and a person there said the damage was so severe and the insurance company is exaggerating. And it was just a single case and blah blah blah

Really sad stories about a completely incorrect design to protect the battery. I wonder how long time this will take before a Class action in US?

I think it is time to see how to get hold of an underbody protection shield made like the panels on the Cybertruck? Those panels seem extremely strong. Could be a business opportunity for an aftermarket supplier.

You missed the part right after when Elon proved how tough the windows were. Elon also claimed the doors were bullet proof, something since disproven by people shooting at their Cybertrucks. Turns out none of Elon's claims on stage or X have any legal force as far as warranty claims go, as proven by people trying to claim warranty after trying to cross deep water with Cybertruck, something Elon also claims the truck can do.

So sorry, no, I would rather Taycan battery not be protected by Elon tech, unless he puts it in writing (not just X or videos) that he will personally pay for any damage to the Taycan batteries protected by his tech. No worries though, he's much smarter than people give him credit, he never commits in writing, always has fine print to wiggle out of any public commitments.
