Well I got the WRV3 update installed today.
I had no connectivity in the car since feb 14. Just one half day on march 28 it came back and then again nothing up to today.
This afternoon I saw the Porsche app again able to connect. Jay!
This morning they said that not only the WRV3 update was going to be installed but also a fix for the sound/music and some other stuff.
Anyway what I saw on the drive home:
- the weather and news app are gone
- on the pcm map, you still see the charging stations, but they no longer display how many are available in the icon itself.

I had PCM 4338 installed and that changed to 4360.

Classic porsche, to brake something when updating software.
Did you try a reboot of the car (in your case you would have to unplug the 12v battery for 1-2mins).

It often fixes gremlins like this with the PCM (in the j1.1 we have the 2 finger reset, gone in j1.2)

I have the two-finger reset in my J1.2, or at least it worked a few months ago when I was troubleshooting connectivity problems of my own.

Sadly WRV3 removes the 2 finger reset ? I had mine updated in January
I would think they have just changed the method for how to initiate the process? Surely the dealership knows the new way to put a J1.2 in engineering mode?

Is there a way to do a reset using a ODB2 dongle ? I have that.

For sure with PIWIS. I asked the tech at my OPC and he said only consumer option is to do a factory reset and loose lots of settings ?

No. Un-connecting the 12v battery for 1-2 mins does the same restart as the 2 finger restart.
Of course, it will not boot you in engineering mode, but it will restart.

It's also how porsche road assistence clears charging errors, where you can't put the car into drive (commonly after tesla chargers...)

Ugh. Well, my approach is going to be lift the battery cable. Way better than going full factory reset.

Agreed, I did try that recently to try and reset the Conbox but without success then a couple of days in an underground car park sorted my lack of communication with the Porsche servers/App ?

Well the updates did nothing for the car connectivity issues. During the update I saw that connectivity was back. But in the 2 hours it took me to get the car back home, connectivity was already dead.
I am going to try a 12V disconnect tomorrow.

Did you lose your 4G signal or just data transfer to/from the Porsche Servers/App?

Mine fixed itself are leaving it in an underground car park for the weekend, 12 hours before it was booked into OPC to be investigated. I always had a 4G connection but no data was being transferred, so no App and no traffic information in navigation. OPC said it was almost certainly resetting the 4G connection that fixed it. I tried disconnecting the 12v battery for about 70 mins without success. Clearly that was not long enough to drain the back up battery in the Conbox.

I always have the 4G connection icon, no problems there.
But it's the transfer to the app/server that does not work. Also no traffic information, no music.

That is exactly what I had for 5 weeks then last weekend we visited our son and left the car in his underground car park for the weekend thus breaking the 4G signal, on the Sunday evening I drove out of the car park and tried logging in and the QR code popped up and I stepped through the process to log back into my Porsche account (Porsche had told me to try a factory reset)

Might be worth a drive to an underground car park and leaving it for say 30 minutes to ensure the data connection is completely dropped?
Mine has been fine since last Sunday evening.
It was due to go to the OPC on Monday morning but I cancelled.

Well every day I park in my underground garage all signals are cut (I see them drop from 4G to 2G and then disappear).
I was even thinking that maybe the complete loss of signal every day during 8 hours might be the cause of the loss of connectivity. The connectivity process gives us trying to connect after xx attempt and never resets itself when 4G comes back.
But then it worked fine for first 3 months I got the car.

It worked fine for 3 months.
Then suddenly on feb 13 it stopped working.
It came back for 4 hours on mar 28 then stopped working again.
I got the update done on apr 15 and it worked again for a few hours before stopping.

Very frustrating.
