"In return, due to the delayed ramp-up of electric mobility, the market launch of certain all-electric vehicle models is planned to take place at a later date. In particular, the development of the planned new platform for electric vehicles in the 2030s is to be rescheduled. The platform is to be technologically redesigned in coordination with other brands within the Volkswagen Group. This is the company’s response to the significant slower growth of the demand for exclusive battery-electric vehicles. Nevertheless, the existing all-electric model range is being continuously updated. With the Taycan, Macan, Cayenne and the future two-door sports car in the 718 segment, there will be an attractive BEV offering."

My reading would be:

1) The Taycan J1.x platform was/is shared with Audi, so one could argue that it was not just dedicated to Porsche;
2) " the existing all-electric model range is being continuously updated";
3) " future two-door sports car in the 718 segment, there will be an attractive BEV offering"
4) " the development of the planned new platform for electric vehicles in the 2030s is to be rescheduled". Rescheduled, not cancelled.

They need to wait and see how the Neue Klasse works out. Electric only may not be the best solution for a new chassis.

It’s not happening anymore based on what Blume said in the investor meeting.
He'll be gone soon! Porsche in China is dead horse, no matter how much they beat it, it won't come back unless they are super innovative again.

Think about it, the Chinese are outsmarting the global competition on battery and software left and right. Porsche with the Taycan, which was very well received in China did not even offer InnoDrive and none of the other digital services. With the facelift, the Taycan in China felt totally outdated compared the the Chinese competition in every aspect. And the ride quality of Chinese cars is almost as good now! Honestly, I am shocked how to threw in the towel!

Porsche survived the rise of the Japanese and Korean car manufacturers before the Chinese. Remember they're not competing on technology; their selling points are the name, the heritage, the driving dynamics and how it makes you feel when you slide into the seat and hit the pedal. It will be a long time before anyone (outside China) can throw their keys on the table and proudly boast "I drive a BYD".

Sounds to me like instead of a J2 it'll be a J1.3, J1.4 and on until they decide to invest properly again
They'll get rid off it. With the Chinese market gone, they will go back to become a small brand where they only survive by using anything the VW corp has on offer! They got wiped by the Chinese competition.

I got a Volvo EX90, waiting for the Dual NVIDIA DRIVE AGX Orin-Configuration plugged into early next year, so I get at least some working self driving assist. The one now is horrendous.

I recently test drove a Huawei Maextro S800. Gosh, that is hot self driving stuff. First time in my life I interacted with a real robot! If they offer this as a SUV next year, I dump my Taycan and buy one.

If you want self-driving maybe Porsche is not for you.
