Hi guys,

So after much research and multiple test drives for me, and finally having had the wife test drive the 4 door coupe to confirm she is comfortable with the car, I'm about to place my order.

Here is my build. Any feedback would be appreciated.

I am tossing up between black, red or bramble seatbelts. Bramble would be very different, and I like the idea of it because it's not the usual black or red, though I'm a bit scared. Does it go with the overall look? What do you guys think?

Looks really good. I’ve gone for Crayon too - the back inlays and window trim in black sets it off nicely. Have you considered rear axle steeering? Gets a big thumbs up from pretty much everyone on this forum and makes a big difference. When is your build?

Nice car.

I wouldn't say it's a regret, but the only thing I would change about my 4S is the black leather interior. I love it, but think I'd like the red or crayon leather even more and are a bit more special for such a nice car. You can spec different colour seat centres as well, I'd like crayon with black centres which would look great on your car as well.

On a light exterior colour I'd definitely get the mirrors fully painted. Sport Chrono divides opinion here, but IMO it's a lot of money for a switch on the wheel and a clock.

Your combo of neodyme accents with red seat belts looks odd to me. Bear in mind you can replace the seat belts fairly easily after you've got it.

I'm going to wait for an MY22 and take delivery in January.

I haven't had yhr opportunity to drive a car with rear wheel steering, but I was very happy with the driving experience of the standard vehicle, so I don't think it's an option I would notice missing. The turning circle was also pretty good as it was.

I steered clear of red as we have had that on our X3 for almost 4 years. I would love Crayon, but having young kids means that's completely impractical. I've opted for Neodym to try and break the black.

I'm definitely deleting the red seatbelts. I think it may look like Chinese New Year in there with the Neodym. I think I'll just stick to black with Neodym inside.

Sports Chrono adds the sports plus mode as well as the steering switch correct? It's not just the switch I didn't think.

2-tone extended leather black / crayon would lift the interior (crayon is easy kept clean so don’t be put off).

Neodyme - please no, unless you want chintz (sorry) or have seen it in the flesh and really like it.

Crayon seatbelts if you go two-tone above.

Bose (a must)

Comfort Entry

Sport Sound - I wouldn’t spec again - tedious and makes a decent sound without it.

Porsche LED logo - why? Electric fold mirrors, colour code come with puddle lights (normally)

Model designation on rear in gloss black would align with the gloss black window surrounds.

This table shows you what all the modes are. Sport Plus can be obtained indirectly without having Sports Chrono (if you don’t like the clock on the dash).

Thank you! I do love the clock. I think it's quintessential Porsche.

I really would LOVE to have the 2 tone black crayon interior. But with 2 kids that jump on the seats when I'm not looking, and the primary driver being my wife who has no realy desire to pamper a car, I think I am going to get annoyed constantly cleaning scuffs.

Bose is standard here in Australia.

Comfort enty is standard here in Australia.

Sports sound - Personal preference I guess. I loved the starship enterprise sound when giving it a boot, and it can be turned off when not desired.

Porsche LED Logo - I assumed this was the only way to get puddle lights in front of the doors?

Matrix LED's - Are most guys doing this? Other than the intelligent high beam assistance, is there any visual difference at night to the light design? The daytime aesthetic difference is very minor as far as I could see.

Puddle lights in mirrors (I have them and didn't specify so are STD but check the description). The logo is projected from the underside of the door.

Matrix lights are great. Note that in built up areas their functionality is reduced or where there are street lights. Motorway and country road driving they work really well.

I love the matrix lights. Essentially full beam all the time on country roads, but without blinding oncoming traffic. Definitely recommended (except for the US where it's not legal and gets disabled)

The PDLS Plus (non-matrix) also has high beam assistant.

This is so annoying. All the hardware is there. It also disables the “spot” function in combination with night vision assistance.

High beam assistant is standard irrespective of light selection.

Matrix lights up signs etc with individual LEDs (pretty cool in operation whilst full in full beam plus other clever things when used with Night Vision. They don’t yet let you project images (this is coming to Audi A6 EV for gamers would you believe!) on to a solid surface when parked.
