Morning everyone.
Just upgraded to a new Taycan and opted for Homelink - which I though would be easier than fumbling for a gate fob every morning and evening.
Have followed all instructions in Drivers Manual - watched the video tutorials and even had my Gate Maintenance Engineer in attendance...
Before involving your dealer - just wait a few days. Mine did the same and came back all by itself. A factory reset (which is what they will do) will lose all your data and settings so try and avoid as its a pain.
Thanks - I'm not alone then. Just had help from Customer Support who got me to do a factory reset which hasn't worked - now booked into local Porsche Centre as it needs a workshop fix and of course I'm now locked out of everything and have lost all my settings, destinations etc etc!!!!!! If you...
Afternoon all - anyone else in the YK having comms problems between the Porsche App and the car? Mine won’t communicate at all - have reinstalled App but not sure if this is a general problem or unique to me. Had been working 100% reliably until yesterday?!?!
Morning - this is exactly the issue I have experienced and after much investigation have concluded what you are trying to do cant be done with the logic used by Porsche in its charging strategy.
The best you can do to target the 00:30 to 05:30 is to set up both a Timer and profile as below...
Thank you - I just want to come home and plug the thing in - I have enough mental maths during the day thanks.
I just find it hard to believe that something as simple as a defined on and off time isn't possible.
Thank you everyone - I just cant believe there isn't an option to state specific on/off times for charging?
I have 22kW chargers so if the SOC is less than 25% when I plug in I do NOT want the car to start drawing energy at nearly four times the £/kWh rate I get between 00:30 and 05:30.
My...
I have good news - and bad, to report.
The charging sort of worked. I had the requisite 85% this morning, it had stopped charging by the time I got to the car at 06:00 (the charging was set to end at 05:30) - so this is good.
However, when I looked at my home energy usage I noted that the car...
Understood - this is the best option for me as I have to also balance feed in tariffs as we generate our own power most of the year. Charging is only an issue when the sun disappears over Winter.
Chargers are Simpson and Partners Home 22kW chargers - these have an optional additional Energy Manager which I have but it doesn't work and the manufacturer is aware as there is an issue with the 22kW version.
Octopus is the energy provider and I am on Octopus 12M Fixed for import and export.
