  1. My first Porsche has ruined other cars for me, and cured my range anxiety

I have a very similar car to yours and I absolutely love it. Goes around corners great and feels extremely stable at high speeds. There’s enough room for my family and our stuff to go on trips. I had a Subaru BRZ and it was a blast on back roads but long trips were an endurance test. I really...
  2. Right charging port impaired

I get the “right charging port impaired” warning when the left one doesn’t close. I don’t know why companies put these fancy charge port doors in. Just make it mechanical. I really don’t care if it does something cool when it opens I care if it opens or not.
  3. Location! Location! Location! Post Artistic Photos of Your Taycan with Scenery

What do you do to lock it while you surf? I think my CT would be the ultimate Surf vehicle, but I can’t figure out what I would do with the key while I’m in the water.
  4. Cayman EV (and Boxster EV) may axed by new CEO Michael Leiters

The minute I sat in a Cross Turismo I knew I wanted one. The fit and finish is amazing in my opinion. The driving position is spot on. The wheel feels so good in your hands. Plus, there are so few wagons in America. This was a no-brainer for me since I like wagons and their utility.
  5. Cayman EV (and Boxster EV) may axed by new CEO Michael Leiters

I’ve driven a lot of EV‘s and my CT 4S is by far the best handling and solid car. 100 mph feels like nothing. I think the bottom line is it is hard to differentiate yourself from the pack with electric cars.
  6. Cayman EV (and Boxster EV) may axed by new CEO Michael Leiters

I had a Subaru BRZ for the same reason. I have curvy back roads by my house and a light car with a manual transmission is fun to drive. And you don’t have to break the law to have that fun. I’m kind of missing it and starting to think I might find something to replace it.
  7. Cayman EV (and Boxster EV) may axed by new CEO Michael Leiters

Caterham Project V for me then. If they actually produce it.
  8. Trip Report: San Francisco to North Lake Tahoe

Access to Tesla chargers is a game changer even in California. Going to the Truckee area to snowboard was so much harder a year and a half ago. There were four electrify America chargers in the area, and I swear they’re the most used EAs in the United States. Now with Tesla, and I guess Rivian...
  9. Trip Report: San Francisco to North Lake Tahoe

The snow at Palisades was amazing! I have the Pirelli’s. There was some snow and slush on the roads and the tires worked well.
  10. Trip Report: San Francisco to North Lake Tahoe

No problem charging at the Deerfield Rd. location. Not the fastest charge, but not that bad. Having access Tesla, charging in the Truckee area is game changing. Absolutely gorgeous day and the snow was great. I have to say, with the racks and boards on top I get worse range than if I drive up...
  11. Trip Report: San Francisco to North Lake Tahoe

Thanks for the offer. I have winter tires on my CT.
  12. Trip Report: San Francisco to North Lake Tahoe

I always charge in Loomis out of habit. Prior to Tesla and Rivian access the only charging was at the Savemart. If I charged to 100% and the weather was good I think could make it from where I live in Sonoma County.
  13. Trip Report: San Francisco to North Lake Tahoe

My 2025 is almost identical to yours and I’ll be going to Tahoe a couple of times in the next two weeks. Your post has me super excited. The chargers at Costco are a game changer for driving to Tahoe. Getting access to Tesla chargers doesn’t hurt either.
  14. What is the future of the Taycan? -"The development of the planned new platform for electric vehicles in the 2030s will be rescheduled."

I agree with everyone else who said you cannot beat Porsche’s driving position and handling characteristics. I currently own four electric vehicles and have had a few since 2011. I knew I wanted a Taycan the minute I sat behind the wheel. It just feels so right and so well put together. 100 mph...
  15. What is the future of the Taycan? -"The development of the planned new platform for electric vehicles in the 2030s will be rescheduled."

59 Year old who desperately wants one as well. Just do a two-door version of the Taycan and call it a day. I think that would be amazing.
