We always put battery chargers during update, but it changes nothing. It will brick the same. Has nothing to do with voltage.
Even on normal updates (not 9j1.1 to 9j1.2) about 1/6 units brick. Even Porsche dealers experience this on the same rate
So yeah it's quite bad anyways
You can make it happen. STEUER14 comes with a manual SFD2 exchange where you can generate the request token, have it signed by someone who has PPN/FAZIT and input the signed response then SFD2 is unlocked and you can do whatever you want.
There are some people offering this services to sign...
It's tried. 1 unit succeeds for every 2 killed. So 1/3 are the odds.
33% chance of success.. 66% almost 70% chance of dead PCM.
Nothing I can do about it.
That is if you change parts (PCM or Instrument Cluster, etc). nothing to do with coding or flashing.
On newer models SFD2 is a thing though, without unlocking it no coding or flashing is possible. STEUER-14 will have a manual SFD2 exchange so you can retrieve an SFD2 token, pay someone online...
PS: Yes for all those asking PCM updates will be available, including update to 43XX on 9J1.1 Taycan via a firmware patched by CT14 to launch update from versions 3882 or 3885.
However this will be behind manual approval, and with clear warnings that there are REAL possibilities of bricking...
Many of you know that last year we introduced a tool that scans the Porsche Taycan high-voltage battery using nothing more than an inexpensive ENET cable.

This year we’re taking it...
He was pulling your leg lmao?
PIWIS completely supports Macan and you can do everything with it. Not to mention that ODIS in Macan EV would be good only for reading fault codes and deleting them. Coding flashing and anything which involves FAZIT server use would fail, given that Audi's FAZIT...
Sorry for delay, been crazy busy at the shop
ONCE AGAIN ALL DMs HAVE BEEN ANSWERED WITH THE REPORTS. KEEP IT COMING GUYS. DON'T WORRY, I WILL REPLY TO THEM ALL!
How about in the fact that Apple's flagship laptop CPU (M5 Max), with limited power from a battery.... DESTROYS by more than 30% Intel's and AMD's latest desktop flagship chips with UNLIMITED power...
For me that's the deal breaker.
