There is already a developed motor that can act like the 2 speed transmission in the Taycan - minus the transmission. Iron ion batteries are already a real world replacement for lithium ion, which is a fraction of the cost for the same performance. This is just news from this month alone...

If it’s like every car ever made: it’s probably closer to 300km. I haven’t driven an electric car before, so do they measure distance left based on perfect economic driving like our petrol friends?

I’m in Japan for shopping ( and of course eating) and have just considered this refund as my spending money. So, so yeah. Refund for me. No worries though- I’m sure I’ll find a car I like.

Yeah my thoughts too. I’m thinking the 4S will not be a very good value proposition considering the model 3 performance exists ( even though I probably would never buy a Tesla ) But for $150k and onwards I can’t convince myself that I would rather this car then something else. Each their own though.
