Yes I agree, but I have also tried this workaround and, in fact, engaging regenerative braking manually does not work for the first few minutes of each day's starting ride. I think the earlier postings have explained what is going on very well

For the first 5 minutes of my first trip of each day, when I brake the regeneration portion of the braking does not work; only the mechanical braking slows my Taycan. After 5 minutes the regeneration kicks in and, for all of the remaining trips of the day, regeneration functions as expected...
