Wow, what a crazy situation. If I remember correctly using the emergency key takes more effort than one might expect. The key mechanically unlocks the lock. Good luck.

I have the same problem trying to use the Porsche app on CarPlay. The only way I can get it to work consistently is to log out of the Porsche app on my phone and then log back in again. Doing so the CarPlay Porsche app works every time. But if I don't log out and back in again it won't work...

Sorry but my J1.1 definitely locks when I walk away. It's also stated in the manual. I don't know where you're getting your information but m 2021 locks every time I walk away!

you should read about comfort access in your Porsche App or car manual. The car should lock on its own when you walk away if you’re using comfort access.

Interesting I’m confused, why doesn’t your car lock when you walk away? Isn’t that what comfort access does?? Is there a setting telling it not to lock automatically??

Thank you Claus, I now know I can use the app to open the car. From what I’ve read from Porsche the car should not lock but sometimes under certain conditions it will. Very poor engineering if you ask me. Thankfully I have the App. Normally this would not happen to me but accidents do occur...
