Here is the thread Daveo4EV referred to about MY2025 Taycans charging faster than 9.6kW but then no longer do after a software update. I've been dealing with Porsche about this for my own 2025 4S with no success. They would only tell me my vehicle is operating normally and is capable of 11kW...
I have a new 2025 Taycan picked in January and ever since I've had it there is an occassional metal pinging sound when getting in/out of the car after it's been driven. It doesn't happen when first getting into the car after sitting in the garage overnight. But after driving it, when first...
With newer Taycans there is no point going beyond 48amp since they only come with an 11kW AC charger, and additionally Porsche seems to have artificially limited them to 40amp charge rate.
Your problem getting resolved after sitting unconnected offgrid for 2 days feels like something just needed to be reset. It's ridiculous that Porsche removed the PCM reset function present in older models/software versions. I've also been told by my dealership that the only way to reset now is...
Mine had a similar issue and required control module replacement. I took delivery at beginning of January and the issue happened 2 weeks after. Porsche connect app could not connect to the vehicle. Dealer tried disconnecting 12V battery and several other things. Finally had to open ticket with...
I really hope they didn't limit it via software when they clearly state in the car specs that it comes with an 11kW AC charger. But at the same time they recently confirmed the Macan EV only has a 9.5kW AC charger and they aren't outfitting their own service centers with higher capacity AC...
I’ve been only getting 40Amp using the universal wall connector as well since I got it just 2 months ago (brand new MY2025). I’ve tested it on another owner’s Porsche wall charger where his 21 Taycan gets 11kW while mine only gets 9.5kW. I’ve taken it to two service centers but unfortunately...
For #2, you are able to save the changeable settings to each drive mode (height, recuperation, suspension). For example I changed the height for Sport mode to be Lowered instead of Normal and saved it that way.
Just select Performance from PCM and the first tab that is shown (Dynamics) displays a bar graph of Brake and Power. Brake can be either green, red, or both. Power will be blue. Also included a photo.
For #2, the performance screen in the pcm will show green vs red when regen vs mechanical braking is applied. The driver console and hud only show regen and not mechanical.
You can set the priority of which phone to connect to if both are detected, and it’s easy to switch to the other one if needed.
For myPorsche app it doesn’t seem to make any difference which account is primary vs secondary. The primary account can add/remove the secondary accounts but once set...
