Where I live there are probably a dozen Taycans within 5 miles, so very little reaction from people locally.
I took it down to Paris last year though and would often find people taking selfies next to it!
I take issue with the
"Frequent Charging
You charge after 1.4 trips on average. Consider charging less frequently for battery health."
That is exactly the opposite of what should be said. Small top ups are far less damaging for Lithium based battery technology than fewer "empty to full" charges.
Yet another post in full agreement here, M. TaycanParis. Mine is the coupe GTS, picked it up under 2 years old with just 8.5k km on it, it was indistinguishable from new. 10 months later we have it at just under 21k km. It's safely taken us to Germany, down to Epernay, over to the UK multiple...
I dropped my Taycan off at Porsche Mechelin this morning, on arrival the service receptionist said they need a video to be able to claim the WTG1 under warranty and without it they'd need to charge me. I said, in no uncertain terms, that was not happening, and asked why they hadn't made this...
The car has been in areas of good connectivity for days but still showed the "active process" message. I did the 2 finger engineering menu reboot this morning and it let me try the install again. When I left it it appeared to be installing...
I tried to update this a couple of times but it seemed to fail as both my home parking garage and work parking garage have very poor signal.
I keep getting a notification that the update is available but when I click on it I now get "Function not possible due to an active process" - any ideas?
The same yesterday - one charged me to 40% then threw a fault screen, 3 others wouldn't even start charging.
And don't get me started on the appalling sign posting at these services, as far as I can tell you have to drive through the petrol pumps to get to the parking area then out of that area...
It most definitely does need washing - on my way down to Paris in September (not a hint of snow!) but a lot of rain and spray, the innodrive stopped working with a message that the sensor needed cleaning. Very annoying as that's when I needed it most. Pulled off, found the sensor - who puts a...
For what it's worth, I asked for the SOH before buying my car. The Porsche dealership reported 91%. +/- 5% I wasn't impressed but the car was otherwise perfect and the salesman asked why I was worried, it has an 8 year warranty.
I bought the car, got it home and bought the kit for the...
