Chalk is not the same color at all. In the US it is very light grey almost white.
Here are some much better pictures of that interior in real life and with the dark silver trim:
(both color trims look great in real life, but my Neodyme pics are too large to upload)
I guess these other authors must have copied his made up reference:
Where did I say it was faked? I was just citing why the OP is posting about panel gaps.
One EV site made a big deal of it and suddenly its big news like Porsche would suddenly throw away years of perfection on ICE with their first EV.
Anyone who has owned Porsche's before knows the insane...
Keep in mind what I said about COLORS. Illuminating the logo is not against the law. Notice the Pontiac letters are red like brake lights and on the rear.
Red on front, = no good.
Blue anywhere is usually no good but you should consult your state laws or or DMV/DoT.
For my state:
(b) A blue...
It is not against the law. It's the color of the lights that matter. Can't have blue lights on your car at all(police) can't have red lights in the front (direction of travel)
Pontiac has done this on numerous cars over the years(this was the first one that came up but I have seen more modern...
Silver is the DEFAULT wheel color for the Mission E wheels:
"Forged wheel with five-spoke design and two-tone finish in Brilliant Silver/ High Gloss Black based on the design of the Porsche Mission E concept study "
Agree with this for all Porsche's not just 911.
True...but it needs to be an aftermarket item so a smoker could add it to their car if the original one didn't come with it.
And speaking of that when you do add it to your build it shows up on the build sheet/VIN decoded options forever. In the used car market when this shows up you don't...
@MTM2012 my reply was to:
Note his location!
"Chalk" in the UK is our "Limestone." And our "Chalk" is their "Crayon"
The online configurations are different depending on market so you need to be specific to the market. And in both cases (our limestone their chalk) is two...
For any of the blue's I am very partial to the Basalt Black/Atacama Beige two-tone Club Leather Interior Olea as the other colors are all too dark on a dark car for me.(IMHO of course!)
I dislike like the Black/Chalk two-tone leather interior as the doors and the rear seats are fully chalk and...
I've seen it and I am. Insane on the Turbo and Turbo S for what they cost but it is what it is. Hoping that by the time the aluminum roof is available (my Turbo allocation is delayed due to that) they will have an exclusive option to put leather there. I'll certainly spec it if they do.
IMHO always go for the full leather. The plastic parts of the car that are exposed when you get partial leather cause it to look/feel much cheaper than it should for a $100k+ car.
I get why Porsche does it (to charge you more) but partial leather shouldn't be a "thing" on a Porsche or a vehicle...
Incredible. Will pick up every future Porsche from PEC ATL if possible. In a nutshell if you are a Porsche fanatic it is to us what Disney World is to kids.
Flew down with my wife, stayed in the city at a nice high end hotel, and took a towncar to PEC but next time I think it would be better to...
I have owned over 20 Audis and the Taycan will be my 9th Porsche. I have custom ordered many of them.
My most recent Porsche factory orders were a 2017 911 Targa that was ordered in June 2016 and delivered in Oct 2016 @ PEC Atlanta.
Before that was a 2016 GT4 ordered in June 2015 delivered in...
All cars ordered/built after June 2020 will be MY21 in the US.
June is the break point for MY21 and includes the items that cannot be ordered right now:
aluminum roof, mobile charger plus and for the 4S the smaller battery pack.
Rumor says other options may be available as well (I have no...
Did you UK depositors get any of these?
Taycan Qi wireless charging plate
Carrera White Metallic Taycan paperweight
"Limited edition" hardcover brochure
I also got the miniature "limited edition Inspiration 911" sculpture during this period but I believe that is due to my previous 911 purchases.
