Ambient temperature is a major factor with variable range in the same car but so is AC. I have 21 inch wheels so not good for range (but look great!).
I normally charge to 85% which was 197 miles in Summer/no AC, but is now 165 miles at 10oC with AC most of the time.
The best in 8 months of...
And there is 0% chance the current model will look ādatedāā¦it will still look nothing short of stunning. From what Iāve seen, the facelift aināt all that..
At least you know you are happy :). I have a Turbo and keep hearing Marlon Brando's voice in my ear "Hey I could have been a contender (for a Turbo S)"...So near and yet so far š
Previous car, used bucket, car wash soap (Simoniz), wash with garden hose, dry with Chamois leather - 30 mins, simples! Not for the Taycan thoughā¦
Iāve watched plenty of detailing videos, would highly recommend videos from Vermijl Detailing from Belgium.
Problem is having seen these videos...
I think the Charging Lounge is a good idea, so long as it remains exclusive to Porsche. I cannot see the point if itās opened up to everyone as Audi have done.
I look forward to the customisable coffee, with an options list.. extra cost cup, extra cost water, extra to have it warm..Itās...
Great you and yours are safe and sound which is the most important thing
Playing devils advocate....would you have preferred if it had been an insurance write-off so you could get a new Taycan? Iāve had main dealer major repairs before in another car which never felt quite like the original...
Sorry to hear this. Any idea what the issue(s) is/are?
Interesting to look at EV reliability compared to ICE. Lots of variables in this and sure that overall EV reliability will improve as ICE reliability has massively improved over many decades.....
Like Caraholic, I have a Turbo saloon 2023, 2000 miles on the clock. I get 210-220 miles doing 12 miles round trip to and from work and have no issues with the occasional longer journey for holidays. That's in Summer, no AC (hardly use it in Summer in the UK).
In winter, using AC, lights...
I had soft close doors on my last car, an S-class. I really donāt miss them at all so donāt understand the fuss about not having them.
The biggest issue was any passenger I gave a lift to, including my own family, didnāt even know that the car had soft close doors, or even what soft close...
This is from this mornings Sunday Times in the UKā¦Heavy depreciation is not really a Taycan specific issue. There is now a glut of used electric cars, as more manufacturers get on board and many more second hand electric cars compared to 5 years ago. The transition to electric is still a hard...
UK Sunlight is not so much an issue as in warmer areas, but summer sun can be penetrating. One reason I optioned the VLC roof.
Easily adjustable and keeps the sun out very well, worth the extra IMO.
If you think about this the other way round, how many Taycan owners have actually run out of charge and had to be recovered by the roadside?
From reading the forums, I'm guessing very close to zero? So why the panic about range especially as all cars depreciate?
Enjoy the car, its a hoot, I...
Taycans are ten a penny in my locality.
I fear that if I waved at them all, I would get cramp and my friends might wonder if Iād used my right hand for another activityā¦..
Just remember if you do use Range mode on the highway, which I do, when you get into a city with plenty of speed humps, make sure you change to Normal mode.
Ride height is lower in Range Mode, and you will scrape the underside if youāre not careful.
Yes correct. Ionity Magor. They have 6 chargers. Space for a further 6.
Plug and Charge worked perfectly for me. Iāve had similar issues as you at other Ionity stations but there is a helpline which has sorted charging issues out fairly promptly before. The charging infrastructure is still less...
Completely agree. Did my first longish trip from London to hotel in South Wales 2 weeks ago, 540 miles round trip, stopped once for 30 min each way at Ionity to charge to 100%. Felt terrible "middle class" guilt as I used the toilet at the Subway sandwich place on both legs...but didn't buy...
Yes, that was my interpretation from looking on the net as well, that in business to business transactions, CRA 2015 will still apply unless any contract excludes this...which it wouldn't unless specifically agreed.
Certainly didn't affect my refund at all, nor was it queried by Porsche...
I bought a Taycan 4S in February 2021, delivered November 2021. I was so excited, even in the cold weather, I didn't notice the heater wasn't working at all. This has since been an issue with many Taycan's, numerous threads on this from 2021-2022 (now mainly resolved with new heater being...
Yes I am sure you are correct in many respects and that is my view of the corporate world by and large too with many companies.
There are many customers like me, new to Porsche buying the Taycan however, so I think there will be a perhaps winking eye towards customer loyalty which in a...
