I've contacted my dealer. They are "looking into it" but I don't anticipate a solution. Which kinda sucks because the lighting in the trunk sucks. Apparently it isn't just my observation. It's not a bug...it's a feature.
Porsche, fix this ridiculous situation by allowing for brighter lights...
I have not tried, but the idea occurred to me. I want the dealer to do it. Who's that Porsche Sales Guy on TaycanForum that says we can ask him anything? Oh yes, @LukeManning. Hey Luke, can this be fixed? Seriously, go to a dark room and open the trunk. Bring a flashlight, because the trunk...
But is it fixable? Has anybody tried to talk to their dealer about it? I called mine earlier today and all they did is confirm that it's low and unadjustable. grrrr.
I suppose I'm merely asking if it's possible that the lights can be brighter and if so, how do we do that?
I'm wondering if this issue is mine and mine alone, or if this is a shared problem, but the lighting in my trunk is poor/dim/shitty/useless/awful/embarrassing/yougetthepoint.
I have looked through the Good To Know app and can not find if there is a way to increase the lumens (from essentially...
Thanks Ron. This is VERY helpful.
I have not tested this (for fear of a car accident), but will the car come to a complete stop at a stop sign? Red light?
If you have Innodrive "on" with a setting in your Nav, will the car automatically steer you off of the highway at the correct...
This is a topic of some frustration for me. My frunk would open with the wave...and then it wouldn't. It didn't occur to me that it could be the clear-bra. But, having that applied seemed to be the point in time where it stopped working.
Having said all of that, @Dee seems to be correct. The...
My clear wrap guy used the film on the sensors in the front bumper area. He warned me that he used it on my nightvision sensor, so he wanted me to check it out at night (he didn't know how to use it...nor did he want to drive my car...very nice of him). And it is true...do NOT use the wrap on...
Hello. Since I live in Mountain View, a stone's throw away from the Stanford Mall, I found myself there yesterday. I was thinking about where this Meet-Up could, you know, actually meet. And I think this might be a suitable place where we can all park near each other, have space to socially...
For my first "long" drive, I took a 200 mile roundtrip journey...to pick up my favorite sandwich for myself and my poker buddies. Along the way, I passed some of the wind turbines that power my car (all electricity in my house and in my surrounding area comes from natural/renewable sources, so...
Your posting (and all previous postings) suggest I stop at step 1: Call Porsche and have them deal 100% with it, including providing me a loaner.
Having said that, I really appreciate knowing this information is nearby...just in case.
I bought my 4S on September 15. In that time, mainly because of Covid-19 and that I am working from home, I haven’t had much need to drive. In fact, I have only put 198 miles on Farrah (that’s her name, see story here). Presently, she is at the detailers getting a clear wrap (front and doors)...
Yes, I think I should have posted that it’s working now.
And all of the Connect features now seem to be active, including Climate control, which activated magically....today, nearly 5 days later, LOL
I wrote up my experience buying my gentian blue Taycan and the first few days of ownership. Since this site doesn't cross post very well, I thought I'd link to it here. It has a bunch of photos, too!
