I mean driving straight where a bump/hole forces the rear wheels to change geometry due to the RAS set-up, both in compression and rebound.
Every design has it's disadvantages and advantages.
I prefer multilink without RAS.
The Taycan doesn't have that, it's double wishbone unfortunately.
Are you guys familiar with "bump steering"?
I have RAS and now that I am familiar with the car's behavior, I notice quite some bump steering at lower speeds on uneven roads and put holes...
It's feels like unsettling the car quite a lot imho.
On higher speeds it's (obviously) not that noticable...
It has resolved mine.
But updated (and tested) software is always a good thing.
At least Porsche is working on it.
I prefer waiting for a good fix than a quick fix and more problems after that.
I think Porsche does exactly that.
And, more importantly, Porsche is a company that takes care of it's...
I was on the point that it didn't even recognize my Porsche-ID.
So no satellite view, lost settings.
Drove around as a guest in my own car.
So not only the app stopped working, the PVTS too which is indeed a major issue in terms of my insurance.
How do you know that?
Or is it just your best (educated) guess?
Original module, no problem, worked fine from day one.
After six months I went to the dealer again for a software update (inverter update etc), I was called.
They also replaced the OTA-module which was an updated version I...
If that would be the case, there wouldn't be a waiting list for OTA-modules.
I understand what you're saying but it's just guessing but it sounds plausible to me.
If it was just a firmware issue there wasn't a waiting list.
To my understanding there are/were server issues too.
I think it's just...
I don't think Porsche is to blame here.
As the automotive chip industry has a huge shortage in supply AND the demand for updated OTA-modules is high you're stuck between a rock and a hard place.
I guess this is a worldwide problem, not only for Porsche.
Whole assembly lines are shut down as we...
You are mixing up cause and effect.
Also, they make use of the same server(s).
According to my dealer Porsche is using a part of the Audi server and (obviously) there's s lot of traffic that they hadn't forseen.
Once I have a good connection, the app is working flawlessly.
Sorry, just my experience.
Set minimum charge in your profile to 25% or just don't use a profile at all (this is just for charging at preferred times).
If your profile is set to minimum charge of 85% and your timer too, it'll conflict.
It's not the app, it's the OTA-module that won't establish a connection to the server.
I think the app works great, has all the functions I need, including car finder and route/charge planning.
Still, I'm waiting for the horn/lights/lock buttons.
Had a 992 C4S for about 2 months* while my Taycan Turbo S was in the shop for repairs.
The sound and handling are great but other than that it felt "outdated", rough, slow (yes, really), unsophisticated.
I thought I would never say that of a modern 911...(still, I set my PR in this C4S...
Actually, it's range OR performance.
But we knew that already.
You think we are discussing mpg on a 911-forum?
But maybe I'm just spoiled cuz my country has the most fastchargers/km2.....in the world.
Sorry about that. :)
I really don't care what car reviewers say.
At the end of the day I'm driving a Porsche and they're not.
I mean, what's the point?
Sure, if I'm driving 90km/h at a constant speed in range mode the range is great but that goes for every car, nothing new here.
No, I drive a Porsche cuz I like to...
