I will definitely be one of 5 other people who orders a Taycan Sport (I wish!) Cross Turismo w/the Executive Rear Seat package, if they ever decide to release it for the Taycan.
In that case, how high are the chances of Porsche producing both a Sport Turismo & a Cross Turismo? IMO, my dream Porsche would be a fully electric Panamera Sport Turismo (executive rear seats specifically! Though I'm sure that's not likely for the Taycan) and Porsche might get really close to...
Oh yeah, for me, that protective layer & the added benefit of color changes settles a wrap as a great option over getting a custom color from the factory.
Honestly, I'm really happy with Audi have done with the e-Tron. My favorite part is how they seemed to listen to feedback with the Taycan's infotainment and actually included buttons instead of a bunch of screens in the interior! I really dig this level of a mix of futurism vs traditional car...
I've actually read about this exact technique! It's great that people have solved the problem, but it will take time to achieve widespread implementation. However, that's not to say it doesn't help further the case for batteries.
Dee, in response to your comment about H2 generation using SMR...
A common misconception about H2 is how safe it is (or isn't). Since it's such a light gas, it dissipates extremely quickly. It's only when there is a concentration of hydrogen in an enclosed area that the issue of ignition becomes significant. Otherwise, hydrogen doesn't behave as sensitively as...
I see. Obviously there are theoretical limits to efficiency, but I want to see how close we can get to them. Besides, fuel cells are between 40-60% efficient already, and the best way to improve well-to-wheel efficiency is to generate hydrogen on-site, taking the transportation issue out of the...
Actually, I think hydrogen is the solution for decarbonizing the heavy industry (ships, trucks, planes, etc.). Batteries will need significant development before they'll be able to meet the energy density requirements to cover extreme long range without immense weight disadvantages.
Fuel...
Alright, this might sound ridiculous, but have you seen any range improvement since the majority of the wheel face is flat now?
Unless of course those wheels are as heavy as they look :CWL:
Honestly I'm super excited for a Taycan wagon! My dream is for Porsche to make an electric Panamera and a Taycan Sport Turismo would be the closest to that yet! :like:
Oh! That makes way more sense. I always thought that a dedicated 240V 100A circuit for 19.2Kw+ charging was normal until you said it like that. So how should we setup such charging (19.2-22Kw) for ourselves at home?
