  1. Just picked up a Model 3 Performance ...

If you are so triggered that you have to incorrectly imply that their opinions don't echo mine, maybe you should hit the ignore button. I partially agree with the of "I think if they put this across the line to other Model 3s and Ys, they'll sell a another bazillion of them." I think they will...
  2. Just picked up a Model 3 Performance ...

That is a really low bar. Why are you posting here? There are plenty of places where you can talk about how much you love your Tesla.
  3. Recall in Germany: Possible leaks and cell defects in high-voltage battery

Oh wait, you are right. The the P=2020, the S=2023. I thought this was just for the 2020 model which is why I made my comment. So this is even more useless since on the one hand it says model numbers from 2020 to 2023 that are the "ABY1" trim, on the other they say only 600 cars affected.
  4. Recall in Germany: Possible leaks and cell defects in high-voltage battery

Yeah, doesn't seem useful. I get that it isn't sequential (e.g. some serial numbers like 40000 may not be used), but I would expect the beginning number (A50078) to be less than the ending number (A36740). edit. I didn't realize this for multiple years, the L=2020, the P=2023, so what this...
  5. Recall in Germany: Possible leaks and cell defects in high-voltage battery

Hi, Where do they have the VIN range listed? I haven't been able to find that. I have a 2020 4S. Thanks
  6. Recall in Germany: Possible leaks and cell defects in high-voltage battery

The notice mentioned cars going back to 2020. I am curious as to why that would be - there must me something in their process that they flagged that has it going back to 2020, across models, but only affecting 600 cars. I think it may be Johan on line 2 during the late shift.
  7. Teen Driver Rolls Taycan at 100 MPH

and a smart person would understand that correlation is not causation.
  8. Teen Driver Rolls Taycan at 100 MPH

Don't be that person. Alcohol and youth explain it all. his post brought to you by a non-asian driver.
  9. Recall in Germany: Possible leaks and cell defects in high-voltage battery

From that link, it looks like they are only replacing some modules, not the battery and only about 606 cars are affected if you are affected, they will notify you by May 17th
  10. Teen Driver Rolls Taycan at 100 MPH

I would be surprised if the parents gave her permission to drive. I have a hard time believing any parent who can afford a Taycan wouldn't just for an Uber for a late night party. Although since the other passengers were 19 and 20, it is possible this was her car (graduation gift) and she...
  11. Taycan Tuning in Southern California

oh geez, looks like I know my birthday gift..this is so tempting...so tempting....
  12. AAPL CarPlay not recognizing charge level

For Electrify America, I think you need to just set up an app on the phone I have had the same problem with the charging info. I thought it had to do with updates to the phone, but after I charge the car, it takes a while for Apple to realize what the new charging level is. I tried...
  13. [DEBUNKED]: Taycan Cross Turismo to be discontinued in US soon

Unless one doesn't have a charger in their garage, how many people need more than 200 miles for a daily driver? And except for Home Depot runs and large family events, I am surprised that people think it has limited space for a daily driver. I just moved my son from LA back to the Bay Area...
  14. Drives in LA?

Shout out for that too! I picked up my Taycan there. I did a write-up here in August or September of 2020.
  15. Drives in LA?

    Thanks everyone!
  16. Drives in LA?

Hi. I am going to be in LA next week and looking for some recommended canyon or fun drives. not interested in sight seeing (eg not ocean drive just for the ocean, but if it is a fun drive, that would work) Recommendations? thanks
  17. LA Drive recommendations

HI, I am going to be in LA next week and was looking for some recommendations about fun drives for the Taycan. I am more interested in Canyons and fun drives than scenic (e.g. a drive along the coast). Any recommendations? Thanks! Reg
  18. Tesla Cybertruck’s 911 Gimmick

It is only important to people who care if they are being lied to when they are told about the performance of the car. I get that in the post-truth world, a lot of people don't care about the truth. No, if you think about it, you would know that that is the main trick of an EV. I don't...
  19. Any hope for significant update when MY 2025 introduced?

this "standard" they set includes nerfing the performance of the battery https://futurism.com/the-byte/court-tesla-guilty-nerfing-battery-performance as well as features. https://teslamotorsclub.com/tmc/threads/did-holiday-update-nerf-favorite-switching.318433/ Didn't they do something...
  20. Any hope for significant update when MY 2025 introduced?

There is no reason for them to update the capacity or power. They prefer you just get a new car after 3-4 years if you really are chasing a little extra power. They may do a PCM upgrade if it is totally backward compatible with the hardware, but I doubt the hardware would be.
