Follow away, my man!! I am an a$$hole that enjoys sharing my adventures and experiences with my Taycan.
Honestly, if you ever want to discuss tips on using the Electrify America charging network I am open to discussing with you. You have an amazing car, hopefully one day you will...
I totally agree with your idea of creating a single new thread where everyone can unload EA complaints. I would also suggest we create a thread on how to use an EA charger if that EA charger, or the Taycan, is not Plug and Play enabled.
There is a particular rhythm to getting the EA...
Dave, thanks for sharing the info. Guess we will find out at some point if there is an update, and what enhancement it contains. Fingers crossed.
I am not ready to go back to a Model S, but if there are no Taycan improvements/enhancements in the next 6 months it may happen.
Can you elaborate on the pending "big update?" Have you anything about timing, what the update will address?
Is it possible it can be an urban legend amongst Taycan owners wanting to believe improvements are coming?
You are spot on. it is not the perfect car, but what is? At this point people need to do a lot of research in advance before making the investment in a Taycan.
Complaining about well known deficiencies after a Taycan purchase does no one any good.
And, agree with Dave. Let's lock...
Are you running winter tires on your car?
Are you planning on going more than 150 miles from your house any time soon and using the car to its potential?
Or are you just going to post cute details like this in threads on subjects you have no experience with? Since you have shared previously...
No offense, man, but I do not know what you are talking about. No one is defending anything here, and there is no disagreement that the EA network needs improvement.
My issue for the past couple of days is that this forum has transitioned from a location to where people shared useful...
Good video. But, nothing new or groundbreaking in it. Most of what the dude shared has been covered ad nauseum. It is simply one video from one online reviewer.
Conversely, a member of this forum broke the record for the canon ball run from NYC to LA in a Taycan 4s two months ago and used...
You are wrong, and in no position to comment since you shared that you have only driven your car 175 miles at a time max.
There are a number of us on this site that have leveraged the Electrify America network successfully and gone on multiple 2,000 mile road trips. I have 12,000 miles on my...
thanks for sharing that. I will have to try that out. I used an EV GO charger today in Tucson, and activated it with my EV GO App.
When I get back to Denver I will try the EV GO charger that is not too far from my house.
Seriously??? It is hard to tell if you are a anti-EV bot or a real Taycan owner. From what you posted so far in this thread you are not a person who should own an EV of any type.
Who wants multiple apps and accounts???? I don't even know how to respond to this comment because it...
are you sharing that you tried to use a EV Go charger with a ChargePoint login/account? You do realize they are to completely separate companies and have nothing to do with each other, right?
Your recent remarks left out the key part that your experience happened because of USER ERROR, not the charging network. Quit broadcasting your lack of knowlege/ignorance. There is a reason your other thread got locked.
Jesus, this again????? Quit spamming this board with the same whiny bull$hit posts about the Electrify American charging network. Yes, it needs work. However, WE ALL KNOW THAT and the subject has been beaten to death on this forum.
If you don't like the current charging environment return...
I would add to Dave's cold weather efficiency loss that if you put the roof rack on your Taycan it will affect your range as well. Put a bike on top of your Taycan, then plan on losing 15% to 20% of your range.
Drive in colder weather with the rack and a bike plan don't plan to go much farther...
Following up on some of these other good ideas, I would encourage new owners to take a test run of a couple of hundred miles before embarking on a longer road trip. This will ensure the car is working properly, ensure that you are comfortable in charging the vehicle at a EA location, or...
Thank you for taking this on.
I would add that the Porsche navigation system leaves a lot to be desired, so I would also use the A Better Route Planner app. It is traditionally a lot more savvy than the Porsche navigation system.
And there you have it -- USER ERROR.
Moderators, can we delete this thread now? It serves absolutely no purpose, and resulted in a new member insulting one of the more respected people on this board.
From what I can tell there are four ways to initiate a charge on an EA charger for your...
I am headed back to Denver on Saturday, and will remove the bike and the roof rack for the drive back. I will take pictures of the efficiency to compare. I have had my roof rack on for 5 months and I see the efficiency difference on the highway and highway speeds. I will create a...
