Wasn’t a recall at the time but I eventually ended up in ARB5 and I was told effective modules were replaced during my original repair. The frame was energized meant high voltage electrical current was running through it.
Mine did not have a fire per se but 12 modules needed to be replaced. While it was in the shop trying to find out the persistent battery drain and yellow electrical error. The cars frame became charged. It had to be shipped off to another shop at that point.
Don’t worry I am assuming the new software is expertly coded so if just gets slightly out of whack it just completely shuts the car down on the highway.
This is exactly what should happen. I don’t have confidence in my 12 replaced cell modules. I am pretty confident that the battery will fail again as I see the repair as a patch. Here’s hoping Porsche will stand behind its product and customers.
Both are great choices. However with the beige you can add the bronze accents which really spruces up the interior, especially if you have burm stereo.
Yes it’s an amazing machine and I realize that each time I get to drive it. Especially when I go in some mountain runs with my toddler to get him to sleep then can have a nice comfortable cruise on the way back. It’s a very Jekyll and Hyde car as almost all Porsches are. However this one does it...
Not my cup of tea especially the non turbos. Seen six in the flesh now and they do nothing for me. Still think J1 is the most beautiful sedan on the streets. To each their own.
Glad you got it worked out. However this just goes to show you how us regular joes get screwed over. We would never be able to get Porsche to drop their labor rate for our out of warranty work but the big boy insurance companies can do it.
