I agree with you about the electrical issues. If you go with the porsche product, porsche install then any problems down the road cannot be refuted by porsche.
fwiw: in the tesla model 3 tesla and others sold a pad that the phone would sit on and it worked well, so there might be something to that the phone needs to be seated properly on the charger for it to be efficient. now we need to locate that sweet spot.
there is a thread by a guy who traveled around the US, maine to CA back to FL up to ME via the trans can highway and he reported that he could not get anything over 130 kw or so charging in canada. I do not know if it is a hardware issue or a power issue
I was thinking the same thing, the location of the port door on the taycan lends itself to easily being ripped off the car by accident. while I usually shy away from "silly" tech like the powered port door in this application it seems to be a good choice.
no, you got me there, I ran spotify via the tesla app, not via bluetooth.
I did indeed have waze displayed on the tesla screen but it will not deliver the various warnings so I would run it via bluetooth, the waze screen on the phone and the audio would come through the car's system
oh my, this has been covered ad nauseam on the TMC site and the taycan roof is very similar if not identical to the tesla pano roof, right down to the reddish coloring when it is covered in rain.

that could be but I have never had a wireless charging issue in this or other cars.
one thing I do notice is that on long road trips the wireless charging only seems to stem the drainage from the heavy use of the phone, running spotify and waze for hours seems to consume a lot of the phone's...
