No one waves in the UK, maybe just more reserved.
I actually am considering a Macan to replace the Taycan. Now I've a 911 as a toy, the Macan's increased practicality, higher suspension and much better price is very attractive. And yes, I like the brand and appreciate the quality 👍tbh I don't...
Definitely happens. Worth turning off and on again (turn off, get out, lock doors), or an engineering reboot failing that.
The things you mention still align with what we've said above tbh
Echo this. The chirp is because a part of the car isn't closed completely before locking
Have you got comfort opening configured in the PCM? 'wave' boot unlocking, opening when you approach the car...etc etc. This may account for your boot opening issue?
Yes exactly.
and yeah I always choose a lower gear for steeper hills, a belt and braces approach that one of my cars doesn’t even let us do manually (but it does sense the decline and change gear)
Brother-in-law is a mechanic and once said to me: "why would you risk extra strain on the engine, which can cost £000's to repair, instead of the brakes which are literally designed as wear parts?"
Doesn't apply to electric cars because they're designed to regen, but it made me change my...
I've seen 3.4, once in the high summer on a very cautious drive! TTST on 21" Spyders
My app is telling my my total average is 3.0. Total BS.
It is now starting to rise which is good, but getting around 2.4-2.6 on longer journeys. Summer is always better!
Having driven mine a lot (obviously), plus a PDCC equipped car as a 2 day loaner: I did not register/notice a marked difference in comfort (maybe others would). The air suspension alone is excellent. And our roads suck.
Cornering for sure though. But as I said - at the cost of my kids feeling...
I've found without ESS on, people barely notice there's a car there. With it, they actually do. With 2 kids, being a kids football coach as well, I have many situations where I'm in incredibly crowded car parks with lots of kids and adults wandering around and I really rely on it being on so...
yeah I bet it was! It would be an interesting experiment to see the difference with and without just PDCC back to back - the Turbo on my track day had all 3 and the instructor said to me that PVT/RAS were must have’s but PDCC is really only needed on track use or if you’re pushing it to 90%...
I got both 😉
I actually think it is really good, but in situations where you need pedestrians to know you are there. I've found it invaluable in car-parks and busy urban environments where there are a lot of people and have noticed the difference when it's on or off. I guess not an issue if you...
I found PDCC a little unnecessary at road speeds...plus it doesn't give that little bit of roll that indicates a tyre is about to let grip go. It is amazing though, but an expensive option IMO
With you on the other 2!
Echo this. I've now driven cars with and without a combination of these. My opinions
PDCC - only really noticeable on a track imo (or if you are driving too fast for the road!). Also, it enhances the weird feeling of 'gliding' along, that some people get in a Taycan and made my daughter feel...
QQ - is it still connected in the MyPorsche app? It's still an option on mine. Have you tried an engineering reboot? After the latest update, WiFi decided to disable itself (and so Carplay failed), but a reboot sorted it out
I tapped on it when I parked up at a local shopping centre. Realised It was gonna update and so didn't go to the next step...or so I thought!
Upon returning from a brief shop it turns out it had initiated and started installing the update. Luckily I had to time in my schedule to wait, so I went...
I love my Taycan, but I do think they've pushed the prices too far away from what I consider to be even remotely half decent 'value' for what you actually get. I appreciate that it's a luxury segment car (I have a Turbo ST after all), but the price of a new one is just a joke, even for the lower...
I do not think it's the hardest ever. But I have reversed it in the dark and rain, with as boot so full I could not see out of the back window. And it did not go well. And I was using mirrors etc.
