If someone has personal experience with a policy which does cover PPF and ceramic, I would love to know which provider and their experience with them. Thanks!
Geico in California is claiming they do not provide coverage for PPF and ceramic coating on their policies and the max they provide is $1000.- for any aftermarket accessories including PPF. They said, we will require a separate insurance provider for PPF coverage. Which insurance coverage do...
You will be surprised how many so-called professional reviewers got it wrong as well and were cluelessly crowing about the Taycan’s “weak regen” and how Tesla was superior. I have a Tesla rental right now and absolutely hate the golf cart style one pedal driving where it aggressively slows down...
As others have said, this is a super easy patch up and probably the cheapest repair you can do for your Taycan. I had a similar slow leak and didn’t need a new tire.
I haven't settled the claim yet and signed anything. The other party's insurance accepted liability and stated in writing that their driver is 100% at fault. That's where we are at right now.
n00b q. (I have never gotten a traffic ticket, leave alone being in such an accident): How does one get insurance to compensate for diminished value? Any tips appreciated.
Cool! Will call 'em up (I can see that they are pricey but have great reviews) and I have also reached out to the other ones in the list (some have not-so-great reviews).
Any body shops in the California Bay Area which are certified to do collision repair for Taycans? An idiot banged into my right hand side rear door while trying to make an unprotected left turn thru dense traffic. Their insurance has accepted liability and suggested a few body shops but I want...
Thanks! Went to BR Racing Los Gatos. Pretty efficient, no nonsense, and actually lower cost than the dealership. Plus lot of fancy eye candy on 4 wheels parked around. 😁
Anybody have recommendations for independent Porsche service/repair shops in the South Bay (Santa Clara, Saratoga, Los Gatos, San Jose etc.) who have experience working on Taycans and have proven trustworthy? Thanks!
It sure was a different bay area back then. In my case, some dude was leaning the way over his wife (who was driving) trying to take a pic of the Taycan and ended up accidentally honking the horn. The only time the car got female attention was when a well dressed lady old enough to be my mom...
Costco parking lots are great places to convert wannabe Plaid owners to the Taycan, at least in the California Bay Area. I have cleaned my daughter’s poopie diapers plenty of times on the Taycan backseat. It’s a 4 door family saloon for God’s sakes, not a 2-door girlfriend on wheels. Let it live...
Thanks to Dave and other forum members, I have only used ChargePoint Flex for my home charging @40A with 50A breaker (Taycan 4S with PB+). Works like a charm everytime. My Porsche Mobile Charger is still sitting on the shelf in its original shrink wrap packaging.
