It's buried in the technical documentation, but the Weissach package does indeed eliminate the Taycan rear doors. What you are seeing in photos are the Hinged Behind Seat Locking Access Panels With Handles.
This should hopefully clear up any further confusion.
Altering the ECU or splicing wiring could be argued as modifications that may affect other systems and thereby void your warranty. In the USA, it would be very difficult for Porsche to claim a dash camera had any effect on another system. Maybe the 12V battery but that's not generally covered...
Looks like someone routinely drove over a spot that they were too low to clear. I'm with the Don't Panic camp until you get it evaluated and see whether this is cosmetic or structural.
If you like the car, have them work with you to get everything ship shape.
As above
I prefer to use Shell gas in my ICE, but it's great to know there are other useable gas stations along my route if I run into a need. Isn't that exactly the point being made about opening SuperCharger access?
I may have missed it, but did you answer where you are taking delivery from, if not the dealer? As for EA charging, it definitely follows the car for the balance of the 3 years.
If purchased through a dealer, they probably gave you a three month Sirius XM trial and you can move an existing...
This is a drop in the bucket, admittedly, but an interesting idea to deploy temporary EV chargers along evacuation routes.
...with so many evacuating at the same time, it can put extra stress on charging infrastructure. To help relieve that pressure, the Florida Department of Emergency...
My vote on the ramp idea is no. If there is room in the driveway and the neighborhood allows it, maybe put up an outdoor garage with flaps on the sides.
But since you are renting, I'm also suggesting you move. :)
The beauty of choice and it's great that you are getting what you want.
Ref battery deg, I think there have been enough studies now that people should feel comfortable that their battery SOH will remain high enough to last well beyond the car's lifetime. Charging infrastructure and limited...
Welcome and good luck in your search. The chase is half the fun!
I like setting individual options to my liking so the Sport Chrono was a must for me although I didn't care about the clock. If that is important to you, you will definitely want that option with the steering wheel dial.
I...
FYI, in the United States if you buy from a non-Porsche dealer (not a private sale), you cannot CPO the car. I purchased from an Audi dealer - still under VAG - and Porsche USA was empathetic but also emphatic that there was no way I could CPO the car.
Having said that, if the car appears to...
I was at my dealer last week and saw insane leases being offered on the Taycan. I also have always purchased my cars but I think all the EV unknowns and current US sentiment might make a lease the more attractive option today.
Generally add between 0.2 and 0.3 seconds based on prior tests they've posted. The GT did do a very low 1.9 before adding in rollout, so still very impressive.
Edit to add a Car and Driver article discussing their testing procedures and the rollout
Car and Driver "We're Making a Slight Change...
The full article goes into a lot of detail and adds disclosures that the tires contributed greatly to their result. As for slower accel times for the Tesla, CD does not test on prepped drag surfaces and they average results from runs in two directions.
