Hi folks!
Recently, my Taycan Cross Turismo’s tailgate has started making a loud, creaky noise when opening and closing.
It honestly sounds like a cross between a dying elephant and the door of a 1990 Austin Metro.
Has anyone else experienced something similar?
The car is nearly 2 years old with...
Acceleration and pure power to me are not the most impressive quality of the CT! I am used to fast acceleration, motorbikes, Go Kart, Catheram, Lotus, and my V8 Maserati.
It’s the blend of sport and speed available with no drama. The effortless acceleration with a quarter of the pedal, when BMW...
In terms of look I think the ST is a cracking car.
Depending on use the added 20mm makes the difference. Mine is a family car, lots of school running nursery. The Ct is a long car, often kerbs are protruding too much and the lower ST would catch the lower front splitter. It’s a more active car...
Not sure the taxi driver mileage is relevant. It’s a business asset. Gets fixed any time something is needed. Most of the taxis maintenance will be much more expensive than someone private owning their personal car. In UK super mileage EV are the LEVC, electric taxi worth 90 to 120k new. I have...
There is no alternative to the Taycan. Nothing compares to it. So despite huge hit on depreciation, and Harry’s garage 1 million view to demolish it…I might buy another in 24 months when at least the curve of depreciation will be normalised.
I have used gummy pflege ( I am not affiliated nor make money off the brand) for a long time and it’s excellent. No smear nor anything just do not push to much or it will smear everything :) it’s transparent and once cured nothing to see nor to smell. One little bottle last forever…keeps the...
Good point there. However for the enormous size of the Taycan, interior room is comparable if not smaller to a Ford focus. With less boot and headroom.
I was in your situation and decided for the CT. Choice never regretted in terms of usability. 2 kids at the back 3 and 6 years old. The little one has a rotating car seat so no problem with bulky item and to fit him in. It Doesn’t affect my space when on the front passenger seat ( I am 5’9”). 6...
Just use some silicon based gel for rubber seals. So far I have managed to open door down to -20 with no problem and use it as well around the glass seal. Not just Taycan related though…
Very valuable info! Repair around 2k pounds mark.
And suddenly all the Taycan have dropped additional 2k in value….at this speed we will see 2020 Taycan on the market for 8-10 grand…
Shall we start to assume this is part of ongoing maintenance in the future? Heater matrix replacement every 2-3 years if lucky?
How much would the replacement cost out of warranty?
The boredom caused by EV to me is the main problem. I couldn’t live just with the Taycan. I see EV taking over on all the application where going from A to B is required.
For all of us going from A to… wherever it is fun to drive EV will never replace a good old fashioned v12, V8 or flat six...
Call porsche assist. Tell them you can’t drive the car because without heating you can’t demist the windscreen and can’t see out.
I think they are right saying porsche assist will get your car skipping the queue.
I think it has to do with dealer contract with Porsche Germany.
They are...
car has been retuned to me Friday Evening and heater matrix has been replaced.
Not great at communicating but all sorted in one week. Porsche Glasgow so far has provided the expected assistance I would from Porsche.
