  1. Gen 1 battery replaced with Gen 2 battery

So update is it’s the same part number as the 2025 battery except the last two are EX in lieu of MX.
  2. Gen 1 battery replaced with Gen 2 battery

Already did that and that’s what made them ask Porsche for a new battery.
  3. Gen 1 battery replaced with Gen 2 battery

Who knows then guess I’m just getting a 1.1 battery. It’s more of Porsche messing with my dealer as they were trying to get the new battery. Porsche has screwed around with them for the past month on it.
  4. Gen 1 battery replaced with Gen 2 battery

Well I have an update on this. From what I am being told by my dealer through Porsche HQ. The 1.2 battery will not work in the 1.1 cars. The new battery is instead (from my understanding) a 1.1 battery with all the hardware and cells from the 1.2. They have been going back and forth with HQ for...
  5. [FREE] tCAN-Pro - TAYCAN BATTERY DIAGNOSIS FOR THE COMMUNITY

Nice thanks for all the work out into this. Will we be able to tune the PASM to GTS spec?
  6. 5 Cars Thieves Avoid and 5 That Are on Every Chop Shop List - article

lol I was going to say because it has a red electrical battery error and can’t be driven. Heck mine has been sitting outside with the doors unlocked and drunk popped at the dealer now for three months and it’s still there, haha.
  7. Part 3: The Quest for the Perfect Tune

I know this is the Porsche forum but is the Etron GT all the same too
  8. Part 3: The Quest for the Perfect Tune

been thinking the exact same thing
  9. Part 3: The Quest for the Perfect Tune

Wow makes me question to keep my J1.1 then.
  10. Considering a used taycan - advice?

That’s great so we can potentially add late 2024 to that. What is curious is if the late 2024 actually have the gen 1.2 battery or not.
  11. Considering a used taycan - advice?

All are under either ARB6 & ARB7 unless it’s a 25. ARB6 though would be the one to pass on.
  12. 2020 Turbo Battery Module Replacement

I’ve heard a couple people being told by Porsche that they were getting a 25 battery but instead Porsche sent a J1.1 battery.
  13. Battery draining while parked...is this normal?

Be carful with your car. I have a hunch these cars that are loosing a substantial amount of hv battery while parked are the ones where the car frame gets fully charged. That’s what happened to mine and before it was diagnosed lost 80% of its battery from sitting for four weeks.
  14. Should I let my 17 year old son drive my car?

Personally no I would not let my son drive the car unsupervised. With me in the car sure no problem at all. I don’t give a crap about the car but I wouldn’t be able to live with myself if something happened to him. These cars are way too fast for an inexperienced driver. I like most boys was a...
  15. Mind-blowing values/depreciation

Wow looks like I may be keeping my Taycan permanently haha
  16. Mind-blowing values/depreciation

Assuming that was a lemon car. Can’t see a clean turbo going that low. Granted if it was a clean car he got a hell of a deal.
  17. Considering a used taycan - advice?

Go turbo or turbo S you will always regret not going for it since you’re already leaning that way. You’re only talking one year more on your battery warranty so I don’t see that being an issue. Now if you were going 24 to 20 then yes that four years would be harder to pass up. There are some...
  18. Upgrading from J1.1 GTS to J1.2 GTS or Turbo

I haven’t made the switch but have spent going on three months in a new 25 4S. Coming from a turbo there is a power difference but not much. Old turbo is still slightly faster. The push to pass is the best feature and the J1.1 should have it. However it does not bring other worldly power it’s...
  19. 2020 Turbo Battery Module Replacement

Originally mine had 12 cell packs fail and they were all replaced. 14months later two more cell packs failed. Finally Porsche decided to replace the battery this time. Everything I am hearing is it will be a 2025 pack and it’s the first one my dealer is doing. Still waiting on the battery though.
  20. This is my rationale for keeping my 4-year-old Taycan for at least 2 more years

While this would be great I don’t see that happening. There is to big of a stink cloud over this model. They will continue to fall and one day in the not too distant future there will be Taycans in’s the teens. Porsches hasn’t handled this battery situation well and is only making this worse...
