I have had this update on my Taycan GTS. I am please to state that brakes feel and respond 100% better. No more "sponginess" and lengthy travel of the brake pedal. Best update I have had for the vehicle.

How he missed and went between A) the two fuelling islands, B) the parked red car, C) the "4" numbered post for the parking bay and D) finally the stone boulder in the bottom left hand corner is just remarkable.... Wow this boy was lucky, it could have been way worse!!!

That's a bit of a low blow. I have a GTS and a P100D Model S. Both cars have their pros/cons.

is there a pattern to which cars have this sound or is it completely random?

I have driven dozens of different of electric cars, none of the make this noise. What else squeals on the car other than possibly brakes?

Basically, they put the car on a roller/ramp and let it run. They were under the car whilst it was running, removed the bottom cover plate and isolated the sound to front and rear motors. The rest is rubbish and I don't believe this 'tolerance' aspect, whilst I believe the majority of Taycans...

So an update all. After Porsche saying it was the PSCB (brakes) which I refuted, they have now confirmed that the noise is from the motors and is within "tolerance". Hence, they stated they will not change the motors. Unbelievable! I have driven several different electric cars for over 6 years...

Porsche Reading have now confirmed the noise is from the motors and not brakes. They told me the noise is within tolerance. I have asked them to define this. There is no way I am accepting this. No other electric car makes this sound. They expect me to accept some Taycan’s do and others don’t...

@GreenHornet can you ask your Porsche why some make the noise and other's don't? Would they be willing to change the inverter.

Why do some Taycans make the noise and others don’t? Is it just changing the inverter??

I think Porsche don’t know themselves, yet. There definitely is an issue and it’s not the brakes. I’m still fighting my corner on this one with Porsche. It’s a sad situation that I’m even doing so give my GTS is only 4 months old and I had to wait over a year for it!!!

What brakes do you have and how many miles driven? @thomasnhyde
