I am serious.
The display is designed in such way you should see the outline of the display through the steering wheel.
There's a spacing between the display and the outer buttons, the steering wheel fits exactly in that space if your seat is adjusted properly.
Ask your dealer if you don't...
I agree on the storing of settings in different drive modes.
Sometimes the satellite map is not stored, I'm sure this is a bug, like many other unsaved settings.
The rearrange of the buttons is a good one.
I also would suggest the car starts in the drive mode you have previously selected.
I locked the car and waited 15 minutes.
I opened the car and guess what?!
It has stored my setting!
In Range mode it does ECO and on the other modes it doesn't.
Unfortunately it doesn't remember ECO plus in Range mode (although I selected it in the menu).
I'll keep an eye on this...
You made me thinking so I tried again: it DOES START in ECO (Normal mode) and stays in ECO, no matter what mode.
Only AFTER you switch off ECO in Normal mode (or any mode) it'll change when you change modes.
That is indeed wierd.
In fact it's annoying!
Just like all the other settings (regen...
I don't think it matters if you set the temp lower to speed up cooling.
The system acts upon desired temperature and actual cabin temperature.
The higher the difference, the more action should be initiated.
I didn't try direct cooling by the app though, only by charging profile.
I can imagining...
Heat pump is a bit of a misleading name.
It's not only efficient to extract heat from (cold) air but it also generate cold when it's hot outside.
It works like a airco that can do both ways, warming and cooling.
Because it does this so efficiently (>300%) it can save you some range for free...
If you use common sense you don't need the manual cuz the words used in the charging options (i-button) make perfectly sense to me.
-Minimum is the least level of charge you want to start with (standard setting is 25%)
When plugging in, it'll start charging to 25% and will stop (also when it's...
I even did some testing with pmma plastic in the same shape/form as the Porsche letters.
Here's the link to the original topic:
Yeah, thought of something like that too.
It really doesn't need more than 7 focussed LEDs to light the Porsche letters from above.
But I'm not bold enough to cut open an expensive piece of plastic...
And I'm quite handy if I may say so.
It's probably not even possible to open it cuz they use...
Well, the app is a nice observation tool after all and I'm very happy about the consumption data, the nav planning and the monitoring of the charging process.
If you want more, just wait, it'll be better.
BMWi got it right after only four years (also secure server issues)....
