I wouldn’t recommend lowering with links unless you’re comfortable with hitting bump stops while driving. I ended up staying stock and avoiding the lowest ride height setting to keep bump compliance in check.
Hey folks,
It's with a heavy heart that I've decided to let go of my CT4S, it's just a fantastic car. I deliberated a lot on this one, as I currently have two EVs (a custom 1970 jaguar and the taycan) but just need something with gas for road trips with the bikes in the mountains with the...
One more suggestion if it’s not too late :)
Could we add a countersink to the bottom fastener holes so we can use flush head countersunk screws instead of the cap head screws? That would allow for a dab of epoxy in the Allen hole to make disassembly/theft very difficult. Apologies if I’m over...
Glad they’ve got a wheel lock solution already, thanks for sharing that.
Here’s what I used on my other car - all that’s needed is a hole, you’re right. I’m not sure if it can be packaged in the current design without a bit of an architecture change though.

I’m in for a set.
I’d love to see a way to lock the 1up rack to the rail extensions. On my other EV that has a rack like this, I used lockable ball-lock pins. This would allow for a lock to be routed through the bike and down to the rail to keep the thieves at bay.

I think all of your questions are answered here: https://www.taycanforum.com/chart-taycan-cross-turismo-ground-clearance-heights-with-and-without-offroad-design-package/
You should ask a dealer if you can take a sedan to test the driveway. This will answer the ST question, and given the charts...
This is way better than the OEM rack, coming from someone with an OEM rack. I might just sell mine and make one of these instead.
Looks nice with the anodize on there too!
Have any of the folks posting that this is nuts ever actually diagnosed a car that’s intermittently failing? A short test drive around the block often doesn’t reproduce customer stated failure modes. Many failures occur under normal driving circumstances, which for most people is driving around...
My photo above is 29x2.5” - it looks like any tire should fit, even a 4+” as the straps are super long. The tire being wider than the channel doesn’t appear to be an issue at all.
