    Should I get performance battery

Aye that makes sense. I like the handling on coils. Its ace i think. No doubt the air is better but the coils arent bad either. Thanks Frank.

    Should I get performance battery

Is the car heavier with coilovers or air suspension Frank? Genuine question. I picked coliovers simply because my build was getting pricey for me and my old 911 had coilovers and was ace. I didn't even consider a weight advantage/disadvantage. I picked PB+ for winter range. That's it.

    Should I get performance battery

If you live in a warmer all year round climate then don't bother. If you live in a cold autumn and winter climate its worth it. Temp in the NE of England is starting to drop and I'm already seeing a small range drop when charged. I got it having researched the lower winter charging distances...

    Does a Taycan feel like a 911?

Taycan is a very capable car for its size and Weight. Handles and grips lovely for a big old unit. Handles much better than a panamera but no its not like a 911. I've only old owned air-cooled 911s so can't comment on 996 997 etc. I've driven a 991 quite a bit but not owned one. 911s feel...

Phone holders for the Taycan - what are you using?

I went with the Brodit Proclip. I've gone with the adapter that will hold my current S20 and also the IPhone when I move back to the dark side of the force later this year. Seems well made. Easy to fit. I've waited 6 weeks due to supllier issues. I'm going to order a black cable with a 90°...

Anyone buy the Porsche travel tool kit?

I have an original 1969 911 tool kit for my 911. More esthetics really. Although the spark plug tool works better than any aftermarket. Lots of early 911 specifc tools are needed. I'd not bother with my Taycan. Its not the same for me. Like it's been said a generic emergency tool pouch off...

at what point do we stop apologizing for Porsche

I agree with this. I've also got a 22 car. I'm 3000 miles in and other than very very minor PCM glitch it's been brilliant. Every marque has issues. My Audi A6 hybrid quattro was glitchy as hell. It was my daily workhorse before the Taycan and I had lots of issues. I'm a big Porsche fan so I...

52p per KW … ( the new electricity domestic UK cap)

The attractive thing with large PV sites is how quickly it takes to bring them online to produce power. It's a fraction of the time of other renewable sources. Just unfortunately the general main hurdle is planning process with is still a local government inconsistent bureaucratic nightmare.

at what point do we stop apologizing for Porsche

Posts like this made really paranoid and nervous before I got my 22 RWD. I'm now almost 3000 miles into ownership and other than 2 very very minor PCM glitches my car has been amazing. Charging is simple so not sure what you are on about? Mebs it's your EA system in the US? I've had a few...

    Home Charging Percentages

Is that standard on most providers? Like Fishfingers we are with Octopus Energy. Like I said I'll find out soon enough from them.

    Home Charging Percentages

I'm sure I'll find out the details when we change tariff but when is the cheaper KW window?

    Home Charging Percentages

This is a really good shout. We are getting a smart meter installed on Wednesday of this week so we'll be going with the Octopus GO EV tariff. I'll start to do a similar thing. At the moment my tariff is the same day and night. Hence the change.

    Home Charging Percentages

I do similar. I don't let it go below 20% but generally charge when it's at about 30 ish% at home. I only have two charge profiles. 85% and 100%

South of UK - Winter wheels thoughts

No doubt. But I've never crashed once in the winter in 30 years. Not once. I drive slower, take more care, give way to nuggets who look like they are driving too fast. So yes no doubt there were 1000s of situations that having winter tyres would have made me even more of a safer driver than I...

South of UK - Winter wheels thoughts

Good for you. I've never said they aren't safer. I said no doubt they give better grip. I said I don't need or want to buy them based on 30 years of driving every winter in the NE.

South of UK - Winter wheels thoughts

With the greatest respect Frank how exactly do you know what situations I've been in over 30 years of driving in a part of the UK at most i wager at most you've visited in winter? I get it you like winter tyres and are justifying why you have snow tyres! I don't have them and won't. I don't need...
