    Porsche’s valuation of Taycan

Everything is relative to what you have experienced. I have a 2023 Taycan ST rwd. Love it, its a really well made car and yes I wasn't an early adopter of the Tayan back in 2019/2020 so probably I'm getting a more polished car than they did back then. However, compared to my 2021 Land Rover...

Who charges their Taycan to 100% SoC at every charge

I mostly drive in range mode here in the UK (unless spirited driving is required/available) as I find the ECO PLUS setting on the climate control enough to keep the screen clear but not using unnecessary battery range by using heating/cooling AC. Seams the heated seats and wheel have minimal...

Who charges their Taycan to 100% SoC at every charge

Also why is it so awkward to limit the charge to anything less than 100%? Seems like timer charging is the only way to do this? But if you go out at different times of the day, and some days dont drive at all (i work from home and dont know where im going from one day to the next) the timer...

Who charges their Taycan to 100% SoC at every charge

Perhaps a daft question but if Porsche battery life would benefit from only charging between 20<>80% SoC why isn't that programed into the car as 80% is the optimal (ie std) max charge and a confirmation required from the driver to charge past that to 100% SoC? Surely Porsche do not want a bunch...

Who charges their Taycan to 100% SoC at every charge

Hi people. I thought it would be interesting to find out how many people charge their Taycan fully, ie 100% state of charge at each opportunity they get. When you buy the car and plug it in it will always charge to 100%, so that's the factory default. However there has been a lot of discussion...

Recuperation / Regen how many miles until it starts working?

My advise (guess) to active it sooner rather than later is to find a safe off ramp / exit from motorway / freeway. Come off at speed 70mph+ and stomp hard on the brakes to a stop at the end of the off ramp... do that a couple of times and it will probably be the fastest way to bed in the pads?

Recuperation / Regen how many miles until it starts working?

UPDATE...... So after 1,100 miles and the regen still not working on braking, and the annoying "kickback"/"clonk" from the brake pedal I decided to try forcing bedding in the brakes myself.>>>>> 100mph on the motorway, off at the slip road and stomping on the brakes for a 100>0mph stop at the...

Recuperation / Regen how many miles until it starts working?

yeah its the small battery 79kw on std STs, as I believe this is all I need.

Recuperation / Regen how many miles until it starts working?

Yes under braking the "bar" doesn't swing to the left (green). I can activate regen by the switch, but when I then brake rather than the bar increasing it decreases with the brake pressure applied. Its rather frustrating really as I feel I am not getting the benefit of regen. I also drive...

Recuperation / Regen how many miles until it starts working?

So I'm now the proud owner of a 2023my Taycan Sport Turismo RWD std battery. Very pleased so far, apart from a few niggles. Braking Regeneration / Recuperation not working on braking... Kick-back / clunk through brake pedal on release, every time.... Wireless phone charger gets the phone...

150kW on-board DC-DC converter????? worth it in the UK??

Hi people So I was wondering if its worth ticking the: 150kW on-board DC-DC converter box? It says: Optional On-Board DC Charger to increase maximum charging capacity when charging at public 400V rapid chargers up to 150kW (vs 50kW as standard). Does not affect charging rate on rapid chargers...

Your favourite Taycan option & why?

What an interesting response to the thread. It really shows that there doesn't seem to be 1 stand out option that everyone loves, or for that fact hates. Example in point is the Sport Sound. People either love it as a favourite option, where for others it's what they would leave off if they...

No shame in that! It's all personal preference ?

Your favourite Taycan option & why?

I thought it would be interesting to hear people's favourite options on their car and why. List one or two. Perhaps there was something that surprised you in its usability or fun factor. Doesn't matter what it is it's your choice.... your 21" wheels or your surround view camera, etc etc...

What has happened to used Taycan prices?

Just found your link to read 12ACD so I'll have a look there to answer the above question...

What has happened to used Taycan prices?

I live in North Kent, and was ordering my Rwd ST with the 21" wheels? Did you have impact blow outs on the tyres due to the ultra low profile of the tyres? Did it dent the wheels and require referb?

What has happened to used Taycan prices?

I am just ordering a RWD Sport Turismo and the Porsche Centre will be managing the order for me so it arrives in time for my chosen 01/03/23 delivery. And that being a 2023 year model. However if the price was to increase by say 10% on the current prices I would be better off shifting the build...
