Understandable, really don’t know many solutions that make sense. My track car that has a camera doesn’t have CarPlay so I’ve never run into this issue. On my M3 only encounter the issue if I needed to check a CEL or adjust my map so the car was in a standby mode anyways so it didn’t bother me.

You should only be losing wireless CarPlay with the camera installed. Have you tried using a lightening car for the iPhone to retain both?

The part description for the DashCams reference the fact that you lose “wireless” CarPlay when they are installed. You have to use the USB cable to have both running together.
