Looking to get a few things coded/ programmed into my Taycan. Does anyone know some one (independent, enthusiast, hobbyist or anybody) who has access to Porsche diagnostic & coding software (PIWIS 3/4) and would be willing to program some options on the Taycan at reasonable costs? Dealerships...

    Pre-conditioning battery for charge

I don’t think there is a manual way to ā€˜precondition’ for battery charging - but I would like to know if anything exists. The alternative maybe to set car to Sport+ mode (some miles before your charge stop) and drive hard - this will get the the battery heated up !

    Porsche UK Ionity Charge Costs

I believe that Porsche Charging Service is complimentary for 3 years on a new car…. Someone in UK correct this, if this is a wrong assumption.

    Taycan to Switzerland & Austria

Thanks.... I guess the only difference in ICE manual and electric is that with an ICE, one can control the descent by down-shifting (multiple times); while in an electric there is no such (manual) mechanism. The regen will brake as best as it can and then disc brakes will kick in. The more I...

    Taycan to Switzerland & Austria

Ah... just the question I wanted to ask? On ICE cars, one always uses the engine breaking (shift to lower gears) while going downhill ... although there is a still a limit to how much braking this provides -i.e. the engine rev limit is still the inhibiting factor and at some point, actual...

100% charge how long can you leave it

Very well said... it's far more important to enjoy the car than keep fretting about technology.... If we are brave enough to spend £100,000+ on a car, we must have some confidence in the manufacturer's ability to manage its sub-components....

    Taycan to Switzerland & Austria

Oh my... this brings back memories of a few years back.. We did all these passes but just immediately after winter.... just a few days after when these passes reopen. There was abundant snow on both sides as well on the mountains... a very different view. I have done these Swiss ones and the...

100% charge how long can you leave it

Known acquaintance: 2 years+ ownership of a Taycan 4S. Has charged it every working weekday (except when he is on holidays) to 100% - as his office building offers free charging. He has not even put a EVSE charger at home - as he doesn't need one ! Charging everyday to 100% at 11kW rate (It...

How to keep Rear LED strip always ON?

It is not accessible from Porsche direct to consumers... but it is made available to dealers and to others for purchase. We are talking about £3-4,000... so definitely not a consumer buy. However, I am aware that there are copies out on in the wild.... hence my previous questions if anyone...

How to keep Rear LED strip always ON?

I would be happy to experiment myself…. Just need to know what all is needed? And from where? (I don’t mean the official Porsche channels… as that would be too cost prohibitive) In addition, any websites or help manuals on PIWIS.
