I had a screen break when I got my first Taycan in July 2020. Stone broken the screen about 12 hours after I collected it. Insurance said Autoglass only. Dealer said they just send to the local windscreen specialist. Went with Autoglass who got an OEM screen. Fitter said it's no different to fit...
175 miles on Thursday night. -5 to -8C.
100% when I left and 10% when I arrived but I had to stop at Perth Ionity and top up with 9kwh so basically a full charge got me 175 miles. And I had the car preheated.
I got better consumption without preheating on Wednesday. Battery was -2C for the...
I had one of first Taycan's in July 2020. The windscreen was smashed within 24hr of collection on the highway. The replacement was less than 200 GBP plus camera calibraiton. The technican told me it was no different than any other VW windscreen. Cost me £75GBP on the insurance.
I used Gretna and Perth on Monday. Less that 20% left in the battery on both occasions and the satnav route had both chargers on the plan. The battery was heated to 40-50 degrees C when I arrived and I got 260kW+ on both chargers for the first phase of the charge.
I did notice the consumption...
If your car is working and you're happy with it, I'd pass on the update until it's had a few months testing by others. My original launch Taycan was faultless. The newer MY22 is full of bugs. Not a day goes by without an error or PCM glitch. And it's had a new PCM.
np, I also used a 2 tonne jack that isn't low profile. One corner at a time.. If you set the suspension to high then enable the jacking mode in the PCM there's lots of space to get a jack under.
Interesting, the Aviemore superchargers are on the list. It's local to me so I'll not likely use them but it'll provide another option for those going up and down the A9 or heading for the NC500. I expect they have very low usage so that's why they are on the list.
Golf takes 5 hours to play 18 holes. Football is over in 90 mins plus half time. I don't play golf or watch football but maybe someone has some smart analytics for choosing chargers. Or maybe not :)
I'm in Scotland and didn't have the 22kW on my first Taycan but have it on the CT. It's expensive for what it is but I do find it very useful in some areas and when the 50s are busy. In St Andrew's recently the 50 cable wouldn't reach the DC port whichever way I was able to park. But I ended up...
I switched to summer tyres recently and the TPMS pressures displayed after a mile drive from what I remember. I switched the tyre setting on the TPMS screen on the PCM before driving off. Both sets of tyres were provided by the dealer though. I wouldn't expect the sensors need mated to the car...
I have a RHD car in the UK, and if I touch two fingers at the top right of the top middle screen for a few seconds it reboots into engineering mode. Then the bottom selection is to reboot to user mode.
I guess with a LHD you will also put two fingers at the top right.
I have the issue with blank screens. I don't have a passenger screen but the two centre screens are blank also everyday I try and use the car. The front instrument cluster is fine. I have a CT4 MY22 from Nov 21.
I don't think it's anything to do with keys. I have two sets of keys but only ever...
They are still fairly low profile compared to the t-equipment porsche bars.
Based on various pictures in threads and the Thule site here's what they look like.
Porsche T-Equipment
Older Thule 9585
New Thule Bars
I think I prefer the older thule bars.
I decided to wait until the spring to buy some roof bars for the CT. Six months ago Thule specced the Wingbar Edge 9585B on their website for the black rails. Looks like these are discontinued but there's still stock in some retailers.
The Thule site now specs the follow for the CT :
Thule...
I'm based in Scotland and have the Chargeplace Scotland card and the Porsche card/app. Until recently most of the local chargers have been covered by the Chargeplace card.
I visited one of the train station car parks near Glasgow this week and noticed there was a BP Pulse charge point. Made me...
