I love driving my Taycan Turbo…just a monster car. That said, I’m also thinking of going back to an ICE. Cayman or Panamera. My car has had the dreaded red warning and in service for 3 months. Then three separate Turtle modes in the last 8 weeks. The issue with a Taycan is these issues are not...
That’s my Taycan. Went into Turtle Mode in Mid March, had to be towed to a dealership. Dealer said valve issue for thermal cooling. Two weeks late it happens again, once again towed. This time a different fix. 40 miles after 2nd fix it happens again. Car wouldn’t go over 20mph, shook like it...
Well after 3 months to the day my Taycan Turbo is back. They replaced three cells. I pushed for new battery but was told they have no concerns once these three batteries are replaced. Fingers crossed
My car is now at Porsche Mechanicsburg since first week of February with Red Alert. Repairs to start in late April, so they say. 4900 miles, 2020 Turbo and CPO. This happens two weeks after I bought it for the 1st time? Please…
Only fixing defective cells per advisor…really pissed at Porsche and...
Just heard back from dealership that after 6 weeks of having my car they still don’t have a time frame for repair. They need Porsche engineer on electrical batteries to fix the issue. Now saying they are fixing the defective cells only. Not happy at all, Spent over $100k on the car and within 2...
In same boat, bought a 2020 Turbo CPO with 4900 miles in January and the Red Light came on 2 weeks later. Dealer came and picked it up and has had it for 6 weeks. They gave me a Taycan to drive though it’s Frozen Berry! Have no idea if it’s cells or whole battery yet. New loaner Taycan 2024 has...
What are the appropriate questions to ask the dealer on how to rectify this red light issue? How many cells are affected? What’s causing the Red Light, HV charger? Just guessing here so anyone who has been down this road already I’d appreciate some guidance
Not sure on the number of cells, they think 2 or 3 had issues. Candidly I wish they would just put in a new battery and be done with it. I can picture getting the car back and having this happen again…
Dealer now says they need “Porsche Certified Battery Engineer” to come and oversee the work, Mid March at the earliest, which will be 6 weeks since they have it. 4900k miles and it will be in the shop more than my driveway thus far. At least they gave me a 2024 Taycan to drive in the meantime.
If they have it a month and this Red light warning comes on again I’m going to be really upset with Porsche. Can’t believe this isn’t a wide spread problem with 2020 batteries. Just replace them with newer better designed ones and let’s go. When you spend over $100k on a car it should be...
Well, dealer now says they need to replace HV battery components. Will take a month to fix. Should I push for whole new battery? 2020 Turbo with only 5k miles, crazy
