I doubt they can afford it. LG chem's batteries are in many EVs. The costs associated with recalling and replacing all the batteries may bankrupt them.

Exactly! It is actually costing Porsche and its dealers by doing these recalls part by part. If they were to do a full battery replacement, or somehow find a way to replace all the modules in an existing battery pack with updated chemistry, that would be a way to save money (and save face)...

This is what I’ve done and it resolved the issue too. Apparently this is an issue happening all of Porsche's newer vehicles with the updated infotainment system. My service center told me Porsche is aware of the issue and they are working on a permanent fix.

Unfortunately, not everyone has the capability to Lemon Law the car. IMO, Porsche will need to address this issue better than GM has done for the Bolt EVs. The main issue is the battery, and LG Chem has been known to have trouble with these batteries early on. Even Jaguar just bought back...
