    OTA update and volume display

Maybe that’s because your steering wheel is on the wrong side @targa666 ? 😉

    OTA update and volume display

If you’re referring to the volume pop up bottom right of screen when using the thumb wheel to adjust volume not being there, didn’t notice that after the WTD4 OTA a few days ago, but that’s not to say it didn’t happen. Post OTA weirdness is common so if you haven’t already maybe initiate a PCM...

🔋Analysis of J1.1 with original battery and with .2 replacement

J1.2 battery is lighter than j1.1. 10% less weight, but 10% more capacity (roughly speaking), nice upgrade.

    OPC Warranty or Independent?

Had both with 911s previously and had good experiences with both. if you’ve done your due diligence (I’m sure you have) on the 3rd party warranty’s reputation, claim levels, excesses, labour rates, parts coverage and premium and they come out even, you’re really down to convenience and comfort...

    OTA Update - WTD4 - Battery monitoring

Mine also did the PCM reboot @Tango22, was a nervy moment when the screen went black!

    OTA Update - WTD4 - Battery monitoring

Had that OTA update today, it comes, it goes, doesn’t leave much of a trace. After leaving and locking the car to continue with the update, upon return saw a notification flash up saying something like software update installed. Still haven’t got the hang Taycan OTAs 😆

🔋Analysis of J1.1 with original battery and with .2 replacement

Very interesting. So does this indicate that while the j1.2 battery is likely to be far less prone to failure and therefore a provides a great outcome for a J1.1 owner, Porsche are withholding other benefits such as buffering an additional 10% of capacity and throttling charging speed? Any...

    Navigation settings

That auto zoom setting has always stayed set for me Paul so unless you’re not logged into your account no idea why it would change. Maybe a workaround for wanting a specific route could be to use stops at places that will ensure the nav will route you that way. There’s also the settings for...

    Navigation settings

@chun when you hit the 3 dots to go into navigation settings you should see “Further navigation settings” by scrolling down, select “Map settings”. Automatic Zoom is in there.

    Navigation settings

Haven’t noticed that the auto zooming feature isn’t retained (set via going into nav map options and checking the box for auto zoom). I understand settings return to default if the user is guest but assuming you’re logged into your account and your name is shown on the PCM your settings should...

EU/UK: Ongoing navigation issues [Solved with PCM v3892]

Interesting @Jasper4S. Did a 250 mile return trip the other day with destination a waystop and home the final destination and it calculated the 10 min charging stop needed (preferred network) on the home leg. Doing the same trip tomorrow, wonder what this feature would mean, maybe it will tell...

    111 point check

£366 Reading a year ago. Seems to have become a nice little earner rather than just a way to approve the warranty.

Latest Nav Preferred Charging Operator settings

Maybe it will be rolled out globally after a period of stability in Europe. Would be uncharacteristic but blindingly obvious the right thing to do. Then again over here they’re making people prove they have issues in order to get 3892, not great for support simplicity or customer happiness 🤷‍♂️...

TSB: Complaints [AKA 'Navi Hangs'] About System Stability, Navigation Operation and Charge Planning in the PCM [software v. 3892] - May 26, 2026

Think you need to initiate @Tango22 complaining about nav crashing You may be aware but there is an enormous thread https://www.taycanforum.com/forum/threads/eu-uk-ongoing-navigation-issues-solved-with-pcm-v3892.28704/

EU/UK: Ongoing navigation issues [Solved with PCM v3892]

Native PCM apple music and podcast apps work same as pre-update for me, still take a while to start up and randomly log out /log back in to Apple account! I’ve been using them along with pcm nav to test the update, but CarPlay will be daily screen again soon.

EU/UK: Ongoing navigation issues [Solved with PCM v3892]

Ha, no concept of parallel processing then @Dabz?! In addition to printing time, it’s probably the video they do looking for things they can charge you for.

EU/UK: Ongoing navigation issues [Solved with PCM v3892]

Great result @Rollep reminded to me to report that a 2 finger salute encouraged update of calendar app to version 8.0.1, the weather app is also at this version. Looks like the error I saw after WTG1 was the legal notice app, that’s still at 7.1.16, but OTA seems to be working ok.

EU/UK: Ongoing navigation issues [Solved with PCM v3892]

My early reports were positive and still all good @smoothound. Navigated west of London to Hackney and back over the weekend (thanks for that TfL) so it coped with routing/charger density there OK. Only thing preventing me from allowing smartmobilty to close the case is some infotainment OTAs...

    Porsche Connect Ending

If OVO’s EV tariff is similar to Octopus @JasMK could you delete it from their app and use a fixed cheap rate window instead (e.g. Octopus is 6 hours 23:30-05:30) with maximum SoC set by the car? I think Porsche charge too much for My Porsche given it’s not that great, although they probably...
