I hate that this latest information has me thinking Tesla Model 3 Performance. You've articulated what has been mulling in my head since I saw this article and that German fella squished in the back of the Taycan on his YT video. Furthermore, everything points to 'what's next' in a dramatic and...
I don't recall where I read this last night but additional takeaways from this article were;
- two-speed (read gears) on rear motors
- driving modes similar to current ICE offerings
- testing tires between - Michelin and Pirelli
- development of different in-cabin sounds for different driving...
Wonder if this is final and, if it is, why don't they just unveil it already? Patience in a fast-moving space like EV is a lot to ask - especially if they're hoping to pick up non-P-car crowd. I know they want their big reveal in September on home turf but still...
Does anyone happen to know if the Mission E is on display anywhere and/or where that information could be found (please resist the 'Google Search' response)? I've looked but had no joy.
Trying to keep the faith and stay focused on my desire to own this vehicle. Last month's spy photos on here...
Really depends on how the specs come in. I have a figure in mind I'd like to spend but also don't want to compromise on certain areas; range, off the line speed and aggressive looks. Realize that likely puts me in upper trims. If this doesn't hit the spot then I'll be in line for a GT3.
I may be fooling myself but seems there's far less to hide in a 911? That's a proven winning shape and formula where the risk of over advancement is huge to the fan base. Like for you, the configurator will ease much angst - hopefully.
Great shots. Thanks for sharing. Getting easier to make out some lines and definition, but still not quite all together.
I recall when BMWs M2 came out - was really hard take pictures that quite conveyed how it's haunches looked in person. Hoping the same effect going on here .
No physical acknowledgment from Porsche but did receive an email directly from them on or around Feb 1 of this year. The email had the subject line 'Taycan Insider'. Interestingly, one of the segments was read - 'The Taycan once again proves that our concept studies are extremely close to series...
I realize the great risk in putting this video in front of this expert crowd but I think the videos and content will be better and better with all of your insights and opinions. I also promoted the forum in the video to help our group swell further.
Let me know what I need to put in the future...
Welcome code name J1 - excited to have you in the group. My intent is to document the run up to the Taycan release and early reviews on my YT channel.
The prospect of those 'hints' is quite exciting!
I'm sure this forum will swell nicely as more information hits the streets.
Be well
Definitely would consider it. I'm more into Auto-X though and fear this may be too long of a vehicle to be practical around tightly patterned cones. Regardless, getting this thing close to its limits is a must.
Hello here!
Just laid down deposit today rather spontaneously. Now I must do the research and I stumbled upon this forum which seems like a good spot to stay close to movement.
I am now slightly nervous, as are others here, about the size of this beast! Seems redundant to have the large sedan...
