Nice solution! Very clean install.
I went with the simple install using a clip made for the Taycan from ProClipUSA and an apple MagSafe with heavy duty double sided tape. The clip mount is $28 with their Black Friday sale now.
Only issue is that with passengers the phone gets knocked off...
Just saw these pictures on Paul Miller Porsche's instagram. Anyone know what this kit is? Not sure how I feel about it, but I'd like to see it in person!
I thought I posted about this but couldn't find anything in my history. I had an issue where my charger's plug started to melt. No idea what caused it, but after having the plug replaced by Porsche and replacing the outlet with the one recommended in the forum and also lowering my charging to 35...
I always thought it had something to do with range ratings, but Tesla allows you to select a mode and stay in it. It would be nice to eliminate that step every single time I get in the car. I was hoping there was some kind of coding tool that could override it but I don't see anything out there.
I had a loaner that was on guest account for almost two weeks so I finally logged into the PCM with my Porsche Account. Naturally I returned it and forgot to log out. Does anyone know if there is a way to remotely log out??
I did the software recall a couple months ago (described as AMB5 Scope 5 on the invoice) and yesterday I realized I now have wireless CarPlay in my 2020 Taycan 4S! Sorry if this was discussed already, but I missed it and it definitely was not mentioned on the service invoice or by my service...

That’s great to know! Not super intuitive but it does the job. “Precool Heat” to me would mean that it is cooling BEFORE you get into the car. The Tesla is just much more intuitive, whereas the Porsche takes the typical German approach of requiring you to read the 500 page manual to operate.
I am pretty good with tech. I’m the guy friends and family come to when they are stuck. I cannot, for the life of me, figure out how to delete a saved device on this car. It’s truly mind boggling how un-intuitive the menus are in this car.
I told myself I would never buy the first year of a new model, but I couldn't help myself with this one and here we are. I just picked it up yesterday after getting the software recall completed and today while driving normally on the highway I got 4 new error messages. It started with a red...
You’re right, they should just put wood benches in the front instead of leather seats! Come on guys, it’s absurd to say the car drives well so tech should not be desired. Porsche is behind in the tech and you can bet they are doing everything they can to catch up with Tesla’s “niceties” right...
The app takes too long to quick. On the Tesla it was one or two quick taps on the screen before exiting the car to keep the Hvac running. Small detail but it was very useful.
I would like the simple option to keep the HVAC running when leaving the car like in the Tesla. This was a great feature and one I used all the time when it was very hot or very cold outside and I wasn't concerned about range.
