I had Porsche centre take a look. It turns out to be a privacy setting in the Porsche app. He turned them all on and it work, Apple Maps knowing the car charge percentage.

My Porsche connect has just ran out last night, only had the car 3 months now, feels odd with out it. Shame that I have there " Porsche Mobile Charger Connect" which uses wifi, but i've not worked out how to get Octopus to control that if, it can.

In the PCM under devices, you'll see a list of the devices, then you can just tap the carplay icon and it was swap to that phone.
