First of all: nice car and welcome!
Second of all: who only drives their Taycan 10k km in 5 frigging years…
Then the real stuff.
Being from Europe I never heard of this. After a quick google I gather it’s kind of like a once applied detailing that you pay for monthly (5 years lol) but it...
Yes Allright I understand that tires are not covered.
But a wheel bearing at 100 miles? Or even 10k miles? Crazy.
Sorry they did that to you. Not right.
To give you advice, it’d help to know a bit more about your current setup. A few things worth sharing:
- What tires are you running right now?
- What rims do you have, and what size?
- Did you option the noise insulating glass?
- What bothers you most; wind noise, tire noise, or the motor?
-...
1. About a week
2. Yes, panamera base (via Porsche assistance, mine had to be towed).
3. I got the 22kw back (this was 1.5 years ago), but I heard there were 2 options in NL:
- 1800€ compensation, get an 11kw.
- no compensation, get an 11kw, get a free upgrade to 22kw if and when...
I didn’t even tell my dealer. But when it went in for regular service they called me -driver side mechanism broken and needed to be replaced. It was still working, only thing I noticed were the slow speeds, and it “reversed” on me in 1 instance months earlier. Couldn’t close the window until I...
Sport plus is for high speed tight cornering. IMHO it’s way too “nervous” on the autobahn. You will feel a lot of the imperfections on the road.
I would use normal or sport. Only difference at autobahn level speeds is if the chassis is in sport or normal.
Especially with rws and pdcc it’s tight...
McDonald‘s charges 8.50$ for a Big Mac, a hamburger in Malaysia is 2$.
Until SAIC actually releases the car for you to buy in the USA for 32k, it’s apples and oranges.
I guess we should be flattered that the Chinese admire the Taycan design so much, but it’s still mostly renders and the car...
I second the Aston thing.
If you want old: DBS is awesome, not as loud, more refined, V12, probably won’t depreciate as much, maintenance is a pain though. But that design… Amazing.
Almost all db9’s look good too. Didn’t drive that one yet though.
Scratching that: how about McLaren?
Good note about the preconditioning using range, the range difference can actually easily be in the double digits. If you are unsure wether you are really charging I would personally not precondition it :)
Also because if I’m only charging 10kWh it doesn’t really matter if it takes 2 or 3 minutes.
When I precondition it on long road trips, it often goes 40+ degrees.
What makes you think it was not preconditioned? If the temp was 12* I would agree. 43 sounds a little high but not unexpected.
I am in the same country as OP (never mind the flag;) ) and use homey now with great results.
Profile is set to 35%. So I know I can always drive 120-150km.
When there is a solar surplus (or in your case, dynamic prices are low), homey sets the Taycan charging to direct mode.
That means it...
Like the guy above already said: in The Netherlands they are not competitive on price. 50% premium seems to be the norm.
However they do include the insurance you normally have to buy extra on Porsche Track days etc. If you do 2+ of those a year it’s worth looking into.
That is, as far as I...
Hehe funny, it’s a beautiful car for sure but what are you doing in your car that you need wipes for:oops:
I have the emergency hammer stuffed in that slot so it doesn’t move around and I know where to find it.
Very strange.
When preheated, if I plug it in with 10-30% battery it starts charging immediately at 250kW+. It starts dropping off around 70% but never have I seen charging speeds below 150kW with less then 80% battery.

I absolutely and unequivocally despise every so‑called fatigue management system I’ve come across. I’m profoundly relieved that Porsche had the good sense to leave such gadgets out of the Taycan.
I fly long distance red eyes every week, and then drive 1-2 hours back home - the real key to...
