https://electrek.co/2026/04/26/beijing-auto-show-2026-insane-glimpse-future-auto-industry/I was surprised to read that VW and Audi are still trying to compete in the Chinese EV market.
I think this is right. To me the question is how Porsche can succeed in the EV space. Is it by converting existing Porsche ICE owners or bringing in new outside the brand EV enthusiasts? I fall into the later category.

Porsche Reveals Battery Secrets That Make The Taycan Go Further And Charge Faster
A lighter and more energy-dense battery makes the Taycan a mile muncher that also gulps electrons really...
Well, in the US we have many laws, including the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, that require car manufacturers to fix safety problems and other things, honor warranties, etc. so I expect them to do that. What it seems to me that Porsche has done is perhaps just the minimum it must do. What I...
Finally got my car back today! Porsche had advised to replace the driver door lock actuator because it seems there is a possibility this could be triggering some of the electrical errors.
The first door actuator was received damaged and the second unit appears to have done the trick.

Picked up my new 2025 Taycan on Sept. 10 and took it in on Sept 29 to check active lane assist & cruise control malfunctions. The systems would randomly be off line and then back on line with no pattern. Dealer ordered one of the control units responsible for the vehicles assistance systems...
Since I’m in Dallas, I can’t help with the dealer questions! But welcome to the site and good luck. As a new owner, I can’t stop thinking what beautiful cars these are.
I have some recent perspective. Owned a Model 3 Performance since they came out in 2018. Just got a new 2025 base Taycan after also test driving a 4S a few times. I picked the base model mainly because of the color but also thinking I needed the extra range. I didn’t feel I needed the extra...
I have a 2025 Taycan that developed problems with ACC and Lane Keep going offline intermittently. Been at the dealer 11 days. They just received a new control unit. Not sure if this is related. I have Innodrive.
Understood. But I'm enamored with it because it sets the theoretical range quite high. My Teslas never got close to that kind of theoretical range and the batteries deteriorated quickly. I'm curious to see how the Taycan holds up.
I’ve had my new 2025 Taycan for just under a month. As you can see from the photo, I have a problem with the ACC and lane keep so I took the car to the shop today. On my way, I took this picture to capture a 360 mile range battery. Just amazing. I’ll check the SoC periodically to see how it...
