I agree with your wife. I wish I had bought the Audi RS7 that was available when I took delivery of the Taycan. Love the Taycan, but it is of limited use because of EA’s troubles.

Herein lies the problem with the Taycan. If it’s purpose is not a ‘burb car, don’t buy it. EA is totally unreliable, one EA charger left my car stranded after the fuses in the car blew during the connection process. I now charge exclusively at my house or on scattered slow chargers around town...

Don’t remember, but not overly long. Let me put it like this. The 12v battery ran out well before Porsche roadside assistance showed up. Was not a fun evening.

Can’t beat the cool factor of the electric ones, which I have. Perhaps I have been lucky but I have had zero issues with them. Matter of fact, while the car does need some Tech tweaks, overall I’m pretty happy with the electrics/electronics in the Taycan. ACP is another story, but it’s working...

Lots of things were promised to early adapters but have not been delivered. What is important to one person might not be important to the other. But things were promised. Including a s/w update this month. And yes, wireless ACP was promised early on.

Where’s our s/w update? Thought it was promised for January. I’m driving a mid year 2020. Among other things, I’m looking for the Real McCoy wireless Car Play. I have it working via a Chinese dongle from Amazon, but I really don’t want a dongle of any sort in my car :swear:

Here’s an update. Stopped by the same site the other day and used the very same charger. Plugged in and used the Charge America app. No ‘Ker-Pow’, just a half an hour of no expense juice at a high rate. Whatever the issue was, it’s gone. For now anyway ;)

Must have for all of the reasons stated, and in my case I have a very tight right turn into my garage. RWS makes a snap out of a difficult and regularly occurring situation.

Works just fine in my car. All you need to do is get a USB A to C adapter, and use the cable that came with the dongle. Once I connected the dongle that way, I was able to update the sw by using my iPhone and the IP link that was provided in the instructions. Works great. But I still want...

So my initial reaction to the CarPlay in a box is once it gets running it works well. But after a cold start of the vehicle, as in being in the garage overnight, it is taking 2-3 minutes or perhaps a little longer before CarPlay starts working. Is this a unique issue and perhaps a setting...

Elon’s charger is juicing my Taycan. Love it. Bracket on the wall holds the connector parallel to the wall so you are less likely to bump into it. Tesla Tap makes it all possible.
