  1. Latest Taycan Software Update Findings and Reviews Thread

Got my 2020 4S back a couple of days ago and all seems great with the new PCM. Porsche Reading did the upgrade and a service, in 36 hours. Range this morning is showing at 278 miles, which amongst the best I have ever seen. Access from the App seems more reliable and Profiles are working again...
  2. Official Porsche Announcement: PCM Update Coming to All Model Years w/ Faster Charging, Infotainment Improvements and Range Bump

The App is down again for me this morning (as it has been for most of the last fortnight) More positively my car is due to go in for its first service, and the seats and power electronics safety recalls, next Wednesday(27th). Porsche Reading have just confirmed they will also do this new...
  3. Island holiday with Cross Turismo

Thanks for a really great write up. I had a pretty poor experience with ChargePlace Scotland in Edinburgh using credit card payment. Wish I had seen your advice about the App. Also thanks for the doggie stuff. We are planning a road trip with our two dogs soon. They love the Taycan (not a CT)...
  4. My 850 mile trip from Oxford, UK to Lake Como Italy

We crossed the mountains at Lugano and entered Italy, and I was only slightly disappointed that no-one asked to see our Covid test results that we had rushed so conscientiously to get back in Folkestone. Once in Italy, I found an Enel X charging pedestal in a supermarket car park. (Note to...
  5. My 850 mile trip from Oxford, UK to Lake Como Italy

It It was a cold morning as we set off and the estimated range had dropped a little. The were no backup chargers on this leg. We had to get back to the motorway and the Ionity charger at Haut Koenigsburg services. The early morning drive in the French countryside was excellent. The Taycan may...
  6. My 850 mile trip from Oxford, UK to Lake Como Italy

This is more or less the route I plan to follow. The A26, Avenue des Anglais was clear and a pleasant drive. I even found Lane Keep Assist helpful, which is a first for me. My first planned stop was the Ionity charger at Aire de Rely. In theory the Taycan can get from my home, to Aire de Rely...
  7. My 850 mile trip from Oxford, UK to Lake Como Italy

Thanks. I dont have a Tesla Tap but I think they are not relevant in the UK as, unlike the US, Tesla access is controlled by software, rather than plug type. In any case, I dont think they work with Superchargers. I do plan to use Tesla low power chargers once we get to Italy but I hope they are...
  8. My 850 mile trip from Oxford, UK to Lake Como Italy

I have been waiting to try a long distance trip in the Taycan for a while, so after after a fair amount of route planning my wife and I headed off this week, We left Oxford at 6 am for our Journey, via the channel tunnel to Lake Como in Italy. Our first stop was at Maidstone services after 120...
  9. Western Europe Taycan road-trip report

I really love this thread. Thanks for posting. I shall be doing my first Taycan European road trip in a couple of weeks, from Oxford(UK) to Lake Como. I will cover some of the same route as you. I only plan to stop for one night, so It is great to hear that the Ionity network is reliable as I...
  10. Will my car charge tonight?

I have not heard anything more from my dealer. My car is going in for an unrelated issue next month and I will chase it then.
  11. Will my car charge tonight?

Setting the minimum SOC works as ever, and is not the issue here. Profiles have definitely been broken by the software update. Profiles do not now work as they used to, nor how they should. Porsche have confirmed this to me and said a software patch to fix the problem will be forthcoming but...
  12. Will my car charge tonight?

I mentioned my problem with Profiles to my Porsche dealer as part of feedback on the WMA5 software update and got this answer,- ************** Porsche are aware of the issue with profile charging, timer charging and problem after setting a minimum state of charge. They are currently working on...
  13. Will my car charge tonight?

    Could not agree more!
  14. Will my car charge tonight?

Setting the timer for 4.30 worked. Thanks However, I dont see what the Profile is now doing for me. The timer seems to charge as late as possible, regardless of the stated preferred times in the Profile. I might as well just use a Timer and accept that I can only ever get 29% SOC at cheap rate.
  15. Will my car charge tonight?

I have a dedicated 32A connection for my PMCC I attach screen shots for my Timer and Profile (plus shots of the "pen" detail behind) Pre-software update, my 4 nightly hours(00.30 to 04.30) of off-peak electricity routinely delivered a 29% increase in SOC. I currently have 68% SOC, so I would...
  16. Will my car charge tonight?

    No I am using PMCC
  17. Will my car charge tonight?

Thanks Nickj. I checked my Octopus Smart meter and it seems ok.
  18. Will my car charge tonight?

I tried using the settings identical to those provided by W1nge (thanks), except that my preferred charging time is 00.30 to 04.30. I am sure this is how it should work. This method is what the manual implies and how the Youtube videos on the subject advise. However, it does not now work my...
  19. Will my car charge tonight?

Thanks. I will try with a timer tonight
  20. Will my car charge tonight?

I have a very similar problem as Nickj. I had been happily charging between 00.30 and 04.30 on the Octopus tariff, using a Profile for my home location(but no timer). Last week the car had the software update and now my overnight charging scheme doesn't work anymore. I use the Porsche mobile...
