How on earth do you steal a Taycan? You’d need a flat bed truck and tow it away without anyone noticing, disable the built in GPS tracking so that no one can find the car, then find a way to start the car without a key. The only value would be to steal the car for parts. The average car thief...
I did a “side to side” comparison of the same song played via PCM Apple Music and CarPlay Apple Music. Definitely sounds richer coming from PCM, possibly due to the Bose effects? Can’t explain it any other way unless CarPlay is using low bitrate
Are they putting themselves out of business or just raising the barrier to entry for competitors so that they have more time to rebuild their unreliable infrastructure?
exactly. I’m not sure how they justified the full leather cost for a leather free interior that shares most of its parts with the free standard interior.
that’s not true.
I am not referring to GTS interior, just full leather vs racetex (leather free) vs standard:
race-Tex (leather free) is a cost option, but the only difference from standard is that the seats have race-Tex inserts instead of the partial leather.
It is not worth the money or...
it’s not. The race-tex Interior is the standard interior with fabric inserts on the seats. The dash and all the trim are the same as standard. I have the standard interior and wish I went with leather (4S prior to GTS release) because the trim looks cheap without the leather and stitching.
as ive stated in other posts, I will not use the Taycan for a road trip that relies on charing to get to my destination. It is way too unreliable, especially since the communication from the station to the car is non-existent (car will navigate to a dead charger) and it is really...
I agree 100%. When I first took my brand new Taycan on a road trip last year, the EA chargers on I-5 were working and empty. Never had to wait and always got a charge. Fast forward to last week and half the chargers are unavailable and there are Bolts and Hyundai’s and Mustangs all waiting to...
I’ve had such a night and day experience with my limited exposure to EA:
when I first got the car May 2021, we did a short road trip up the CA coast and never had an issue charging or finding a spot.
same trip Nov 2022, multiple chargers not working, all chargers occupied by a Chevy Bolt or...
The other problem is the abundant Chevy Bolts out there using the same network. I’m now in line waiting for a charger occupied by several bolts. As more mainstream EVs come out and don’t have a charger system, we will all be bottlenecked
Yes all the Pismo locals told me how the chargers haven’t worked for weeks. I told the EA rep that but he seemed to feel that there was some parts shortage to repair the units and since they aren’t talking to the EA network, they can’t tell Porsche cars not to navigate there. If I knew they...
