I don't want to fast charge, even if it takes only 5 minutes. I want a battery that lasts all day (1000 km / 600 mi) and a hotel that reserves a bed for me and a (slow) charger for my car at night. Hotels should learn their business model has changed. (It's back to the Middle Ages, when each inn...
This week is the top week for skiing holidays in Belgium. Is anyone on the forum gone skiing? Where are you? Did you take your Taycan or any EV? What route did you take? Where did you charge and how long did it take?
edit: skying -> skiing
That explains why these features have been standard in the Taycan all along, while other basic safety functions are for cost options. You can “rest assured” that all current cars have all the necessary hardware and software on board and all that’s needed is flip an OTA switch.
Actually, they would have to have 4: the CTs have a bigger turning circle than the sedans. You can't rely on a test drive in one kind if you're going to get the other.
May I ask why you ordered at Gelderland in the Netherlands and not at your location, which says Aachen in Germany? I compared MSRP (with VAT excluded) for my desired configuration and it was 2,5% more in the Netherlands (and Belgium is a bit more still).
From Porsche's German configurator: the turning circle is 12,0m for a 4CT, 11,7m for a 4S, 11,4m for a TS CT and 11,2m for a TS. The first 2 don't have RAS, the last 2 do.
Also note that the 18-way seats are somewhat incompatible with the 2+1 rear seats (40/20/40 back row): the 18-way front seats have a different design, and the rear seats get the same design as the front seats without the 2+1 option, but they keep the 14-way design with the 2+1 option.
I think that was an error in the American 2021 configurator. It was never mentioned in the European configurators. I also asked a dealer (in Germany) who sold a Taycan with that option, and it didn't have 40:20:40. I can't believe that would have been different in the States, esp. at about the...
If you’re going to cross that many borders, I hope you are fully vaccinated: 2 weeks after your second shot. Otherwise, you would have to do tests for each bordercrossing as these test are only valid for 72 hours. (Also don’t leave in June because the digital certificate is not yet accepted in...
Actually, the motorized charge port only blocks the rear air vent, the one between the front wheel and the door. So I guess the impact is probably even less?
