sigh. So 10 days later, now have new PCM and waiting on replacement of 3 HVAC servo motors in an attempt to solve all the issues that have come up post S/W update- basically first PCM was unresponsive, now other systems also unresponsive. Not heading down a great path, I'm afraid. WIll be...
Hello - dropped my Turbo S off last Wednesday night for all the updates (car delivered last July) - the big recall update didn't work after multiple tries, dealer ordered PCM replacement (not the screen). I had planned to do a PCA DE Track Day on Saturday for fun, they wouldn't release it...
After mine died (and I went through the same jump/porsche RSA flatbed to dealer /talk with service advisor process you did) they said I didn't need any updates either (delivery in late July -so similar vintage as yours). I also had the sales guy I bought from screenshot the dealer view of my...
Unfortunately the + doesn't work in this scenario (I had it happen about a week ago). As others noted, a quick on/off also doesn't do the trick. It apparently has to complete whatever update cycle it is in. Until then, it says -1 for volume. I left mine overnight...having decided I was...
yeah, I was down to 2.5-2.6 mi/kwh is the past couple weeks as it got colder. I have also been driving my Taycan on an "individual" setting that is close to Sport+, so I know that contributes to the drop in range...but it sure is fun.
Got it ... I had thought my drive over to the 350kw charging station would have been enough of a "warm up" for the battery - but I didn't check the actual battery temperature while charging. Will do some experiments here as it gets colder. Thanks - really appreciate this forum!
As others have posted, the all-seasons are fine...but I’d really love Michelin to do a set of cup tires for the Taycan. If they don’t, I’ll get a set of the P-Zeros in the spring and take my sticker off the dash. :)
Ah, thanks for the tip on setting nav destination. I was actually using the Porsche nav to get there (another experiment...since 99% of the time I use Waze) but I don't think I "connected the dots" and started it as a charging destination.
For those of you using the EA app...I feel fortunate I...
Altogether reasonably successful although rate was slow -
I'm an overnight home mobile connect charger user, but figured I needed to get out and try the EA 350kw charger that was not too far away in a Walmart parking lot (see pic). Was concerned reading some other posts regarding challenges...
Thanks...it was more for the experience of having that much power and that low a CG. Not likely a habit - purpose built track options better suited.
But the entertainment value of a 4-door sedan blistering through the turns seems pretty high.
Planning a track excursion - if not before winter, then in the spring. Curious if anyone has experienced it yet? Trying to figure out tires, specifically - since tracking a car this heavy but this fast seems like it will create reasonably extreme tire stress (particularly sidewalls), even with...
In my experience so far... profiles are useless. I've deleted them, and gone to a single timer...which has the car charge to 85% by the time I'd like it to be ready in the morning. So it backs up that time and starts however long before that needed to get to 85%. With profiles, it always...
