Because I thought wireless charging involved no cables and the car sat on a pad that emitted some kind of RF or microwave waves? If that’s the case then wouldn’t there be an issue?

I Have used the Ionity chargers in Baldock services twice now and every time I have had to use the RFD card. This was two weeks ago though so unless there is a new OTA update it didn’t work for me.
Also the RDF card was sent to us within two weeks of setting up the charging account.
Sorry should have checked are you in the north or south of UK? If south then it’s Mallaca Highway, which is currently docked at Sheerness, usually takes four days to get to Emden, offload, load and then come back.
